Numerous artistic expressions on display at India Art Fest

Myriad artistic expressions, ranging from paintings to textiles and from murals to installations, are on display at the seventh Mumbai Edition of the India Art Festival (IAF) which opened today in suburban Worli. During the two-day event being held at Nehru Centre, the connoisseurs of art can have glimpses of the art trends prevailing in India and Asian countries. "Over 50 art galleries and 575 artistes, representing 30 cities across 10 countries from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe are taking part in the exhibition," said Rajendra Patil, founder and MD of the India Art Festival. Founded in 2011 by the publishers of Indian Contemporary Art Journal, the event is held annually in Mumbai and Delhi. This year, over 20 new art galleries are participating in the IAF. It took 223 days to reach that total and helped build the singer's subscriber base from 800,000 to 4.9 million.'New Rules' is the 100th video to reach an audience of one billion on the video-sharing website.The 22-year-old took to Twitter to acknowledge the achievement as she wrote, "I picked up the phone and found out I am the youngest female artist to hit 1 BILLION views on a music video #newrules WHAAAAA!!! @youtubemusic".

Lea Seydoux joins director Ildiko Enyedi's next

Actor Lea Seydoux has joined the cast of "The Story of My Wife", the new film from Hungarian director Ildiko Enyedi. Enyedi's "On Body and Soul" won the Golden Bear at last year's Berlin Film Festival and is a nominee for the Best Foreign-Language film Oscar. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Seydoux and Norwegian actor Anders Baasmo Christiansen will play a married couple in the twisted love story, an adaptation of the novel of the same name from Hungarian poet and writer Milan Fust. Fust's novel was first published in Hungary in 1942, but only translated into English in the late 1980s and became a sensation. The project, Enyedi's first English-language feature, re-teams the director with her "On Body and Soul" producers Monika Mecs, Andras Muhi and Erno Mesterhazy of Hungary's Inforg - M&M Film. Shooting on the film is set to begin next year in Paris, Hamburg, Budapest and the South of Italy.

Amy Schumer's 'I Feel Pretty' postponed to June 29

The release of actor-comic Amy Schumer's "I Feel Pretty" has been moved up to almost two months as it is now set to hit the screens on June 29. The comedy was earlier slated to release on April 27. According to Variety, STXfilms announced the new date after the film's trailer debuted on February 8. "I Feel Pretty" will now face off against thriller "Traffik", musical "Valley Girl" and an untitled animated movie by Entertainment Studios. In the film, Schumer's character initially struggles with low self-esteem, but starts viewing herself as a beautiful and capable woman after hitting her head. The movie has garnered some flak for its overall depiction of body image after the trailer came out. The film also stars Michelle Williams, Emily Ratajkowski, Aidy Bryant, and Busy Philipps. It is the directorial debut of screenwriting duo Abby Kohn and Marc Silverman.
