Julia Louis-Dreyfus shares first picture post breast cancer surgery

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has revealed she underwent a surgery after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and said she is "ready to rock" after the procedure. The "Veep" actor, who announced her battle with breast cancer last September, posted her first picture after the operation. "Hoorah! Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery. Hey cancer, 'F**k you!' Here's my first post-op photo," she wrote. The 57-year-old actor, however, did not disclose when she underwent the surgery. Louis-Dreyfus received her cancer diagnosis a day after her Emmy win for the Best Actress for her role as Selina Meyer in the HBO show. The actor became the first artiste to score nine SAG Awards win creating history, as she bagged the trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, but skipped the ceremony due to her medical condition. According to Fox News, she is currently scheduled to begin filming the seventh and final season of "Veep" in August.

TV host tells Muslim fashion blogger she doesn't sound American

Actor-supermodel Tyra Banks says "Black Panther" is more than just a movie, it is a "movement". The 44-year-old TV personality lauded the new Marvel film, calling the Chadwick Boseman-starrer the "self-esteem and the boost that her community" rightfully deserves, People magazine reported. The director of viral Malayalam song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi', which features in movie Oru Adaar Love, is ready to go the legal way.Music director Shaan Rahman also asserted that he would not delete any scene from the song.This comes in wake of the controversy created over the movie's actress Priya Prakash Varrier's wink and eyebrow dance expressions."We are getting more and more support from the society. Mumbai Raza Academy demands viral song be deleted from Malayalam movie

Raza academy of Mumbai on Wednesday passed a resolution against Malayalam movie 'Oru Adaar Love' for hurting sentiments of the Muslim community in one of its viral songs, featuring Priya Prakash Varrier, and demanded the song be deleted.The song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi' has been trending on social media for Varrier's expressions -- the wink and eyebrow dance.The resolution will now be forwarded to Mumbai Police Commissioner and the censor board as an official complaint from the academy.Raza Academy Secretary Maulana Khalilur Rahman Noorie said, "She's been winking in the song. This is only done by prostitutes and not by people playing a character of someone related to Prophet Mohammad's family.""First of all, she should not have played that character. Director Sudhir Mishra says fans expecting to see another version of Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1917 classic "Devdas" will be disappointed with his film "Daas Dev", which is a completely different take on the story and deals with the addiction of power. While the director, best known for his 2005 cult classic "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi", "Dharavi", "Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin" and "Chameli", acknowledged Chattopadhyay's book as an inspiration but said he has reversed the story. He said he had also introduced Shakespearean elements to it. "I am not making 'Devdas'. My film is not based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel. I apologise to him for reversing the story. If you want to see his version then don't come and see it. I am acknowledging the inspiration. "(But) This is a different story. No objectionable content in film song, says director

Facing a case in Telangana over lyrics of a song in his upcoming film, its Director Omar Lulu today claimed the song had no objectionable reference and said Muslims in a part of Kerala had been singing it for over four decades. "The song written by C M A Jabbar is sung during marriages and every celebration in Malabar region of North Kerala. Malabar Muslims have been singing this song since 1978. If it was not objectionable then, how has it become objectionable now?" Lulu asked. He told PTI that it was for the censor board to take a final call on the matter. Bill Paxton's family sues hospital, doctor for wrongful death

Bill Paxton's family is suing Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for wrongful death of the actor. The family alleges that Paxton's doctor recommended an unconventional surgery without explaining the risks. The actor, 61, died of a stroke nearly one year ago following a heart surgery for aortic aneurysm repair. The family filed a complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday against Cedars-Sinai and Dr Ali Khoynezhad. They claim the hospital and the doctor misrepresented the risks of the surgery and failed to disclose that it was an unconventional approach that was "beyond the scope" of the doctor's experience and privileges, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
