Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan today wished his fan on Valentine's Day and revealed that he fell in love for the first time at the age of 10 though it was unrequited. In a video message to his fans, who asked him about his 'pehla nasha', a reference to the romantic song from his early hit "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar", Aamir said he was unlucky in his initial quest for love. "Believe it or not, I fell in love when I was 10. I had joined a tennis coaching and the group was large, of 40-50 children. There I was stunned to see a beautiful girl. She was of my age. Case against director on song 'hurting religious sentiments'
Police today registered a case against the director of a forthcoming Malayalam film over a complaint that the lyrics of a song in "Oru Adaar Love" hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims. The complainants alleged that the song "Manikya Malaraya poovi" in the film written and directed by Omar Lulu had an "objectionable" reference to Prophet Muhammad's wife. The complaint was filed at the Falaknuma police station here by businessman Zaheer Ali Khan, engineering student Muqeeth Khan and others. Zaheer Khan alleged that the song's lyrics hurt the sentiments of Muslims and demanded that either the song be removed from the film or its words be changed. A clip from the song, featuring actor Priya Prakash Varrier, has gone viral on social media sites. The family members of Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, who was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra for gallantry, have been opposing the making of a film about him, saying the story was a violation of copyright as well as breach of their privacy. Justice Vibhu Bakhru, before whom the matter was listed for hearing, said as there was no published work or material on the war hero's life, the Copyright Act would not apply. Rawat was martyred during the war in 1962. "How can there be any copyright on an unpublished work, even if it is a life story of a war hero," the court said. Filmmaker Mohit Suri says his film with Farhan Akhtar is on hold as there is no script in place. After making hard-hitting films like "Madras Cafe", "Pink", Shoojit Sircar is ready with his first full-fledged love story, "October", which, he says, will have little glimpses from his life. "'October' is my take on love, this is the real love I believe in and I have experienced in life. The film has little experiences from my life and from what Juhi (Chaturvedi) has written.
