Dylan Farrow responds to NYT columnist who accused her of 'smearing' Woody Allen

Woody Allen accuser Dylan Farrow blasted a columnist for for his op-ed , in which he says that her allegations of sexual abuse against the filmmaker must be be treated with "added scepticism". Columnist Bret Stephens wrote the op-ed, titled "The Smearing of Woody Allen" for New York Times and cited an investigation into the allegations against Allen that found "inconsistencies in Dylan's statements". Farrow took to Twitter to criticise Stephens and said there was more "information" available for his perusal than what he has used in his op-ed. "If @BretStephensNYT is interested, there is much more information he can find on my case than what he cites in his piece, some of which I have posted here. James Franco to return for 'The Deuce' season two

James Franco will feature in the second season of "The Deuce". The 39-year-old actor is all set to return for the next installment of the HBO series amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, Entertainment Tonight reported. Writer of the show, Megan Abbott confirmed Franco's return to the reporters at the Writers Guild Awards ceremony, saying that the actor would "of course" be a part of the gritty drama next season. The actor has previously denied the allegations against him on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" but said he did not want to shut down the voices of the women in any way. Franco has been accused by five women of sexual misconduct till date. In the show, which is set in the 1970s, the actor plays the role of twin brothers Vincent and Frankie Martino who become the forefront for the New York mob operating out of Times Square.

Demanded equal pay for 'The Huntsman: Winter's War': Theron

Actor Charlize Theron has said that she fought for equal pay and got it during the making of "The Huntsman: Winter's War" where she played a villain. "I am in a position where I could put my foot down and say, I want equal pay to my male co-star, who I had billed another movie with. We were doing a sequel, we had done it together, why not? "What was interesting about it was I had a studio that said all right. And I was like, oh? We just need to say this? We just need to not be so polite about it and say what we want?" said Theron while speaking with Kweku Mandela at Westwood's Geffen Playhouse. The event was organised to celebrate the birth centenary of Nelson Mandela, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Theron, 42, reportedly received $10 million fee for Cedric Nicolas-Troyan-directed film, equal to what her co-star Chris Hemsworth received.

Shahid's next film with Imtiaz not a sequel to 'Jab We Met'

Actor Shahid Kapoor has dismissed reports that his next collaboration with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is a sequel to their 2007 hit "Jab We Met". Ever since the project was announced, there were reports that the film will be an 'organic' sequel to "Jab We Met", which featured Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. "There is nothing to do with 'Jab We Met' and in this film I don't look sad! We will make another good film. Why do we live in the past? It ('Jab We Met') has already been done. So no, (this isn't a sequel)," he said in a group interview. Bahraini artists explore existentialism at India Art Fair

Torn between beliefs and decisions through a lifetime, a man, now a mere silhouette of himself, barely recognises himself and realises all of it had been a lie. A part of Bahraini artist Lulwa Al Khalifa's 'Schism' series, the painting, on display at the ongoing India Art Fair here, seeks to touch upon the subtle existential reality of every human being. With turquoise hued base, the oil on canvas work portrays a diminishing human silhouette being stretched in all directions. "Turquoise represents life. When life starts everyone is an equal. But, we are shaped by our teachings, beliefs and choices that we make. The painting also shows how a man is stretched in every direction that he is barely himself anymore," she told PTI. Russell Brand to feature in 'Butterfingers'

Russell Brand has been roped in to star as an assassin in the action comedy, "Butterfingers". The 42-year-old actor-comic will play a hitman who has befallen bad times in the film, to be directed by Barnaby Southcombe, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is based on the script penned by Tom Nash and will be showcased at the European Film Market in Berlin next week. The story follows Brand's Keith (known as Butterfingers) as he competes against archrival Perry, who is after the same target in Spain. When Perry defeats Keith in the quest and kidnaps the target's former flame, Butterfingers unwillingly takes their children as secondary leverage, resulting in a race across Europe. Keith now has to find a balance between dealing with the antics of children and attempting to make it to the mark first. The production on the film is scheduled to begin in July in the U K.
