'The Crown' star to play serial killer Charles Manson
Director Mary Harron, best known for "American Psycho", is chronicling the life of cult leader Charles Manson, starring "The Crown" star Matt Smith. Smith will play the notorious serial killer in the film "Charlie Says", according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will revolve around three young women, who were sentenced to death for their role in the Manson murders but it was later converted to a life sentence. The story will be told through a graduate student, who is tasked with re-educating the women as they come to terms with their horrific crimes under the influence of Manson. Eminent authors, professional writers and literary meet organisers from neighbouring states and Bhutan have converged at the 42nd International Kolkata Book Fair for a two-day literary event, starting today. 'Shabd - Where Literature Meets', jointly organised by the Kolkata Literature Festival (KLF) and Prabha Khaitan Foundation (PKF), is aimed at creating a platform for celebrating and promoting literary works in regional languages, a statement issued by the organisers said today.
