A special screening of the film 'Game of Ayodhya' would be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday, according to its director. Sunil Singh said he has been asked to hold a screening of the film, which has the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute as its background, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. "The film will be screened at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 30, and on December 31, it will be screened at the auditorium of the Film Division," Singh told PTI. The film is based on the Liberhan Commission report and was released on December 15. But protests by several organisations have hindered its screening in theatres. It explores the situation in the immediate aftermath of the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992. Singh has extensively used videos and documents of that time in the film, including of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former home minister L K Advani.

Two Rajasthan-based professors today said they have been invited by the Central Board of Film Certification to be part of a panel to review Sanjay Leela Bhansali's troubled film "Padmavati". The two academics are R S Khangarot, principal of the Agrawal College here, and B L Gupta, a retired Rajasthan University professor. Khangarot said he received a call from censor board chief Prasoon Joshi to view the film, which is awaiting a censor certificate. "I got a call from (Prasoon) Joshi recently. He sought my opinion on the film as a part of a panel of historians. I told him that I can be available for the review next week," he told PTI over phone from Dubai. Khangarot said it was a verbal invitation and he has received no written communication. "For me, this is not an issue between Bhansali and the Rajput community or between Bhansali and Karni Sena. I see it as an issue between the filmmaker and history and I will be reviewing the film in this light," he said. Gupta said .
An inter-ministerial committee has been set up in the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to look into specific complaints of violation of programme and advertising codes by TV channels, the Lok Sabha was informed today. The minister of state for information and broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Rathore, said in a written reply to a question in the House that the IMC has representatives from the ministries of home affairs, defence, external affairs, law, women and child development, health and family welfare, consumer affairs, information & broadcasting, and a representative from the industry in Advertising Standards Authority of India. He also said the government has set up an Electronic Media Monitoring Centre (EMMC). The Centre has been mandated to monitor content telecast on private TV channels and report any violation of programme and advertising codes prescribed under the laws to the ministry, Rathore said. Facebook has asserted it has no plans of "integration or authentication with Aadhaar" and is not linking the social media accounts to the 12-digit biometric identifier. The clarification came in response to reports that indicated that Facebook was running a test, where it requested for people's Aadhaar information when they signed up for a Facebook account. Facebook clarified that the test, which is now complete, included additional text explaining to users that if they used Aadhaar name it will help their family and friends recognise them. "We are not collecting Aadhaar data and do not require people to enter their Aadhaar name when they sign up to Facebook," it noted in a blogpost. Facebook said the goal of the test was to help new users understand how to sign up to Facebook with their real name and connect with their friends and family. The move by Facebook is being seen as part of the company's efforts to check the increasing number of fake accounts on the platform.
