"The Vampire Diaries" actor Rick Cosnett is set to star in "The Wrong Husband", an indie film directed by Ben Meyerson. The story revolves around Melanie who, one day, notices that her husband Derrick is different. And her hunch is right. Derrick is not Derrick he is Alex, Derrick's identical twin, back to steal the life that was once rightfully his. Cosnett will play both Derrick and Alex, identical twins who were separated as children, reported Deadline. Carla Woods is producing the film which will shoot in Los Angeles.

Jacob Scipio, Paola Nunez join 'Bad Boys' sequel

Jacob Scipio and Paola Nunez have come onboard Sony's "Bad Boys for Life". While Scipio will play the antagonist, Nunez has secured a key role in the upcoming third installment of the action comedy franchise, Deadline reported. The new film revolves around the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team's attempt to take down head of a drug cartel, Armando Armas (Scipio), who is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. Nunez will play Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike's former girlfriend. Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, and Charles Melton are also new additions to the cast. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith will be back as Detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey. Johnny Depp will not return as his iconic character Captain Jack Sparrow from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, Disney's film production chief Sean Bailey has confirmed. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Bailey was asked if the "Pirates..." reboot, to be written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, could survive without Depp. He replied, "We want to bring in a new energy and vitality. I love the [Pirates] movies, but part of the reason Paul and Rhett are so interesting is that we want to give it a kick in the pants. And that's what I've tasked them with." Darren Criss has said he will no longer be playing LGBTQ characters as he does not want to be "another straight boy taking a gay man's role". The 31-year-old actor is best known for playing Andrew Cunanan in "American Crime Story: The Assassination Of Gianni Versace" and Blaine Anderson in "Glee". "There are certain (queer) roles that I'll see that are just wonderful. But I want to make sure I won't be another straight boy taking a gay man's role," Criss told Bustle. The actor said it has "been a real joy" playing queer characters like Blaine, Cunanan, and Hedwig in the Broadway musical 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch', he does not feel comfortable taking those roles anymore, which is "unfortunate".
