Rapper Lil Xan has now planned to take a break as he decided to get help for his prolonged drug problem.Lil Xan a.k.a. Diego Leanos decided to go to rehabilitation from next week, after on Thursday he released his new song 'Xanarchy Militia'.Taking to Instagram he informed about his plan and wrote, "Dropping rn on [SoundCloud],rehab in 3 days i wanna leave my fans with some new music before [his Mac Miller tribute album] Be Safe. Love you guys."After his rapper friend Mac Miller died of drug abuse, Xan thought of putting an end to his drug problem in November. TV producers seek PM's intervention to restart DD NE
A group of North East TV producers on Friday sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention to re-initiate the Doordarshan Commission programme for North East, which was stopped in 2012. A group of producers met Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma at his officer here conveying through him to the PM the plight of the TV producers and the TV technicians in the region. In a formal petition, 29 TV producers from all NE states said, "Many TV technicians like Cameraman, Video Editor, Music Director... are without any job after the commission programme of Doordarshan was stopped in 2012. It is only befitting to reinitiate the North East Special Software Development package, which was started in 1996." The chief minister assured them that he will take up the matter with appropriate authority. He said, "In view of the Act East Policy of Government of India, it is only appropriate that the North East is showcased in right earnest to the rest of the country and the world.

Twinkle Khanna, who produced Akshay Kumar-starrer "Padman", said on Friday that there were many people who questioned her decision to back a movie which supported the cause of menstrual hygiene. "Padman" is inspired by the life of Tamil Nadu-based Arunachalam Muruganantham, who created affordable sanitary napkins for the women of his village. Delhi court awards T-Series Rs 40 lakh in copyright infringement cases
A court here awarded Rs 40 lakh to music giant T-series in two separate cases of copyright infringement of its musical and audio visual works by cable network operators in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Additional District Judge M P Singh directed Chhattisgarh's Sun Cable Network and Rajasthan-based Brij Network to pay Rs 20 lakh each to Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited for unauthorised utilizing and broadcasting its works on their cable network. Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited does business under the T-Series label. The court directed both network operators to hand over to T-series all the audio and video tapes, copies and negatives, which infringed the copyright of Super Cassettes. "Directing the defendant to deliver and hand over to the plaintiff (Super Cassettes) all infringing tapes, copies and negatives etc bearing the copyrighted materials of the plaintiff," the court said.
