'Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle' to premiere in India

In what will be the first premiere for a Hollywood film in India, the makers of Netflix's 'MowgliDirector Andy Serkis, actors Christian Bale, Freida Pinto, Louis Ashbourne Serkis, and newcomer Rohan Chand, who plays Mowgli in the film, will attend the world premiere, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.Based on Rudyard Kipling's classic novel 'The Jungle Book', the movie will stream on Netflix on December 7.The all-star voice cast of the film includes Benedict Cumberbatch as the tiger Shere Khan, Cate Blanchett as the snake Kaa and director Serkis as the voice of the bear Baloo.Bale has lent his voice to the character of panther Bagheera. The movie also stars Naomie Harris, Peter Mullan, and Matthew Rhys.The trailer of the film was launched last week in Singapore at Netflix's Asia event where the streaming giant also unveiled its upcoming India slate.

Armie Hammer issues apology after questioning Stan Lee selfie tributes by fans, celebs

"Call Me By Your Name" star Armie Hammer has issued any apology for questioning the way some celebrities have honoured comic book legend Stan Lee. Lee, who revolutionized pop culture as the co-creator of iconic superheroes characters such as Spider-Man, Thor and The Hulk, died early Monday at the age of 95. Hammer, 32, in a now-deleted tweet, had disapproved the culture of posting selfies to commemorate the departed soul. Elizabeth Banks and Universal Studio are teaming up to bring a narrative adaptation of the 2018 documentary "Science Fair" to the big screen. The National Geographic-backed feature, which won audience awards at both Sundance and SXSW, follows nine high school students from around the globe as they navigate rivalries, setbacks and hormones on their journey to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair.
