Eva Longoria Baston to make directorial debut with comedy '24-7'

Hollywood star Eva Longoria Baston is set to make her feature directorial debut with "24-7", a workplace comedy for Universal Pictures in which she also will star alongside Kerry Washington. Paul Feig is producing the project with partner Jessie Henderson through their FeigCo Entertainment banner. Longoria Baston is producing through UnbeliEVAble Entertainment as is Washington via her Simpson Street company. Sarah Rothschild has written the script, reported Variety. The film tells the story of a group of women accountants who band together against a group of male co-workers to solve a fraud case that will save their jobs. Delhi govt invites Krishna to perform in national capital on Nov 17: Dy CM Sisodia

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia Friday announced Delhi government's invitation to Carnatic music vocalist TM Krishna, whose concert in the city was scrapped by the Airport Authority of India (AAI), to perform in Delhi on November 17 and said no artist should be denied an opportunity to perform. After Krishna's November 17 concert to be held at Nehru Park was cancelled by AAI, the AAP government had on Thursday stepped in to organise another performance by Krishna, who often finds himself in the cross-hairs of controversy over his outspoken views. Former model and actor Kim Porter, who dated Sean "Diddy" Combs from 1994 to 2007, died Thursday. She was 47. A representative for the music mogul confirmed the new to E! News. Workshop for restoration & preservation of Bengali classics

The Film Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the International Federation of Film Archives Thursday started a workshop for restoration and preservation of Bengali classics at the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival. The workshop which was inaugurated Thursday would be held till November 22. Foundation Director Shivendra Singh Dungarpur told a press meet here Thursday, that the organisation was in the process of identifying the 100 most important Bengali films which needed to be preserved and restored. Several films of Asit Sen, Ajay Kar, Ritwik Ghatak, Mrinal Sen, Tapan Sinha - to name a few - needed immediate attention, Dungarpur said. "I have been told that Sen's 'Bhuban Some' had got selected to the Cannes Film festival but could not be screened as there was no print fit for screening in that festival. We need to preserve such an important part of our history, we have put together a list of 100 films.... We now expect the public to come forward to suggest .
