Suspicious package addressed to Robert De Niro: reports

Police are investigating a suspicious package addressed to actor Robert De Niro in New York, news reports said Thursday. CNN quoted two law enforcement sources as saying the package was addressed to De Niro at an address in the Tribeca area of Manhattan. The report came a day after the FBI said pipe bombs were sent to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other prominent Democrats. De Niro is an outspoken critic of President Trump. The New York Police Department said it was responding to reports of a suspicious package in Tribeca but did not mention De Niro.

Prosenjit Chatterjee, Kaushik Ganguly set to team up again

Director Kaushik Ganguly and Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee will come together again in 'Jestho Putro', a film inspired by a story of acclaimed filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh. Chatterjee said the film will be a tribute to Ghosh, and helmed by Ganguly, winner of multiple national film awards and the IFFI Award in 2018. Ganguly and Chatterjee will team up again after 'Drishtikone' and 'Kishore Kumar Junior' this year. "The story idea of the film is of Ritu (Rituparno Ghosh). He had wanted to cast me in the film when I was doing Srijit Mukherjee's 'Autograph' (2010). But, I could not give dates at that time," he said. Other members of the cast of 'Jestho Putro', shooting for which is expected to take place in a few months, are being finalised. Ghosh, a recipient of multiple national and international film awards, passed away in 2013.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau to star in 'Suicide Tourist'

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has bagged his next project in "Suicide Tourist". The "Game of Thrones" star will lead a distinguished European cast in the mystery drama studded with romantic elements, Variety reported. Coster-Waldau stars opposite Swedish actor Tuva Novotny, who has films such as "Borg vs McEnroe" and "Annihilation" to her credit. The 48-year-old actor said he was excited to be part of "a truly original, thrilling and moving love story". "We are halfway through the shoot, and my enthusiasm has only increased seeing the set design, the work by our DP Niels (Thastum) and my fellow actors," he added. The movie is Danish director Jonas Alexander Arnby's follow-up to his breakout debut "When Animals Dream", which played in Cannes Critics' Week. Actor Arbaaz Khan said Thursday he supports the #Metoo movement as no one has the right to harass anyone. The actor, however, said innocent people should not be framed. "No one has the right to harass anyone. I fully support the #MeToo movement. Netflix renews 'Atypical' for third season

Netflix has ordered a third season of the autism comedy "Atypical". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant has renewed the show, with Keir Gilchrist as lead, for 10 more episodes. Written, created and executive produced by Robia Rashid, "Atypical" is a coming-of-age story from the point of view of Sam (Gilchrist), an 18-year-old on the autistic spectrum searching for love and independence. The series is expected to return next year. Season two premiered on September 7.

Oscar-winning filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Guillermo del Toro are all set for master classes at the Marrakech Film Festival.
