Martin Scorsese, Guillermo del Toro to deliver master classes at Marrakech Film Festival

Oscar-winning filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Guillermo del Toro are all set for master classes at the Marrakech Film Festival.

Scorsese will be one of the headliners of the new "Conversation With" series, along with Cannes Film Festival head Thierry Fremaux and del Toro, the festival organisers said in a statement.

The line-up for the new talk series also include Cristian Mungiu, Agnes Varda and Yousry Nasrallah.

"I'm so happy to be on my way back to Morocco, a country I feel very close to, and to be taking part in another edition of the Marrakech Film Festival. I'm looking forward to catching up with old friends, making some new ones, and seeing some movies at a film festival that will always be close to my heart," Scorsese said.

 

Scorsese's frequent collaborator Robert de Niro, who is currently working with director on Netflix's "The Irishman", will also be a part of the new talk series.

The actor will also be honoured at the festival with a special tribute.
