"Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington says he has issues with queer representation in Hollywood films. The actor said the fact that "masculinity and homosexuality" cannot go hand-in-hand in movies bothers him, reported Variety. "There's a big problem with masculinity and homosexuality that they can't somehow go hand in hand. That we can't have someone in a Marvel movie who's gay in real life and plays some super hero. I mean, when is that going to happen?" Harington said. The 31-year-old actor was speaking on the sidelines of ongoing Toronto International Film Festival, where he was joined by his "The Death and Life of John F Donovan" co-stars Emily Hampshire and Thandie Newton and director Xavier Dolan. Newton added, "It is changing, but we have to get behind those changes and keep pushing it".

Carrie Underwood is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Monday that the seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer will be honoured with the accolade on September 20. The ceremony will be taking place at 1750 North Vine Street in front of Capitol Records at 11:30 am. Simon Cowell, who was a judge on "American Idol" when Underwood won the 4th season of the reality competition series, and Underwood's CMA Awards co-host for the past 11 years, Brad Paisley, will be the guest speakers at the event. Underwood, 35, will be the first country artiste to get her name on the famous Hollywood Boulevard with its more than 2600 stars since Vince Gill in 2012.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has composed the theme song for a popular city Durga puja this year. Banerjee said on Monday at a function with organisers of Durga puja committees that the lyrics aimed to bring back the spirit of 'agomoni' (traditional Bengali songs invoking the goddess) songs in theme music once again. "I had been asked by Arup (Banerjee's cabinet minister Arup Biswas) to compose the theme song for his Durga puja (Suruchi Sangha) and I decided to retain the spirit of Agomoni songs like 'Ja Devi Sarbabhuteshu' in my lyrics. 'Wizards of Waverly Place' star David Henrie arrested for possession of loaded gun
Actor David Henrie, best known for his role in Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place", was arrested Monday at Los Angeles International Airport for possession of a loaded handgun. According to Variety, Henrie was arrested at about 9:05 am on Monday at Terminal 2 at LAX after Transportation Security Administration officers went through his baggage and found the firearm. He was booked into Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Division Jail and has since been released with a court date. Henrie apologised in a statement on Twitter. He said he "unintentionally" brought his gun, which he legally owns and is registered to his name. "I am so sorry for any trouble it caused but I am appreciative of TSA's efforts in implementing the safety laws that are in place to protect our beautiful country. More than anything I am humiliated and embarrassed that this even happened," he wrote. In "Wizards of Waverly Place", Henrie played Selena Gomez's brother. The show ended in 2012.
