Denise Richards marries Aaron Phypers

Actor Denise Richards has tied the knot with boyfriend Aaron Phypers. The 47-year-old actor and Phypers exchanged vows during an open-air beachside ceremony in Malibu, California, reported EOnline. Close family members of Phypers and Richards, including her daughters Sam, 14, Lola, 13, and Eloise, seven, were present at the occasion. The wedding ceremony was filmed for the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills", which Richards just joined as the show's newest cast member. Veteran Tamil film actor dies

Veteran Tamil film actor Kumarasamy, popularly known as Kovai Senthil, died here Sunday after brief illness, family sources said. Senthil, 74, died at a private hospital. He made his debut in director K Bhagyaraj's "Oru Kai Osai" in 1980 and acted in more than 200 films including superstar Rajinikanth's hit venture 'Padaiyappa' (1999). The South India Artistes Association in a release condoled the death.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been honoured at the Women in Film and Television (WIFT) India Awards here. The 44-year-old actor was felicitated with the Meryl Streep Award for Excellence, which has been established to honour the best female talent in Bollywood and Hollywood. Aishwarya was accompanied by daughter Aaradhya and her mother Brinda Rai at the awards. The actor posted pictures from the ceremony on Instagram where she can been seen in a black-and-golden gown along with her trophy and daughter. New platform for directors of Bengali entertainment industry

Filmmakers and directors of Bengali entertainment industry have come together on one platform to promote their work and make way for new talents. The apex body - Directors' Association of Eastern India - has been registered under Trade Unions Act (1926) and affiliated to the 'Federation of Cine Technicians & Workers of Eastern India', its president Ashoke Viswanathan said. "The association of directors from film, television and digital media industries, with support of other members of Tollywood, will carry forward the legacy of auteurs, who have set a benchmark for themselves," he told PTI. An estimated 500 people - including filmmakers, technicians and cinematographers - turned up Saturday at the Technicians' Studio, where the association was formally launched at a meeting. Veteran journalist and author Inderjit Badhwar will represent India as special moderator in the Prague Writers Festival (PWF) beginning October 3. The prestigious literary event is rated among the top 35 global festivals. Kevin Feige says Marvel Studios planning more women superhero films

Kevin Feige has said that there more women-fronted superhero films in work at the Marvel Studios. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feige, 45, confirmed that female superheroes are a big part of the plan for phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dilip Kumar in ICU, doing fine

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to a hospital here due to chest infection, has shown "lots of improvement" and is currently doing fine. The actor was diagnosed with mild pneumonia, his wife Saira Banu said Thursday. The 95-year-old actor was admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra on Wednesday. "He is in ICU but is fine now. There has been a lot of improvement in his health. Doctors are doing the check up and the treatment is on too.
