Wagner Moura to play UN diplomat in Netflix's next

'Narcos' star Wagner Moura is all set to the role of a top United Nations diplomat in an upcoming biopic by Netflix.The 42-year-old will be seen donning the role of Brazil-born diplomat, Sergio Vieira de Mello, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.Vieira de Mello, who was reportedly branded as a "crisis junkie", was killed in a hotel bombing in Iraq in 2003 in an attack orchestrated by the al-Qaida. The plotline of the movie is set hours after the attack at Baghdad's Canal Hotel, where a top diplomat lies buried under the debris.Along with Moura, the biopic will also star Ana De Armas, Garret Dillahunt, Clemens Schick (Casino Royale), and BAFTA award winner Brían F. Confirmed! 'Deadwood' film gets HBO approval

The American Western TV series, Deadwood, is all set to return after 12 long years, this time, to the silver screen.The movie was announced by HBO Chief Casey Bloys, who said that the production of the movie will begin in October this year, with a premiere scheduled in spring 2019, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.David Milch, the creator of the original TV series, will be writing the movie.'Deadwood' aired for three seasons and garnered eight Emmy Awards and a huge fan base.Starring actors like Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Kim Dickens, John Hawkes, Robin Weigert, W. Director Tigmanshu Dhulia today said well-developed characters and a good story are the backbone of "Sahib Biwi aur Gangster" franchise. Addressing a press conference here, he said the bad writing was hurting the drama genre. "The drama genre has suffered because the writing is not good these days. But Sahib Biwi aur Gangster series has it," Dhulia told reporters. "You will get well-developed characters who cannot be described as simple in this film. Netflix's new Indian original film 'Brij Mohan Amar Rahe' to release on Aug 3

Streaming giant Netflix today announced a new Indian original film "Brij Mohan Amar Rahe", which would be available on the platform from August 3. This will be Netflix's third Indian original to be released this year after "Love Per Square Foot" and "Lust Stories". The trailer of "Brij Mohan Amar Rahe", the first Netflix original from Yoodlee Films, was released today. The film revolves around the life of Brij Mohan (36), a hosiery shop owner in a busy Delhi market who desperately wants to change his life. It stars Arjun Mathur, Nidhi Singh, Sheetal Thakur, Manav Vij, Sunny Hinduja, Vijayant Kohli and Yogendra Tikku in key roles, Netflix said in a statement. Director Nikhil Bhat said his film is a comic and complex look at the concept of "Karmic justice", and plays out with "ironic humour". International Children's Film Festival inaugurated

West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi today inaugurated the 18th International Children's Film Festival in which 36 films from 17 countries would be screened. The Governor also called for screening of one children's film in every cinema hall of the state every month. "I wish there should be an arrangement to screen at least one children's film in every cinema hall every month in the state. This is important as we should think about children's entertainment," the Governor said at state-run theatre complex Nandan. Tripathi said movies inspired by Panchatantra, Jataka Tales and Puranas should also be made for children. The festival was being organised by Cine Central, one of the oldest cine clubs of the country in collaboration with the UNICEF. Thirty-six films from 17 countries would be screened in the festival. The inauguration of the festival took place today, even as screening of films will begin from August 9 due to availability of auditorium at that time, a Cine Central .
