Veteran actor Rajesh passes away at age of 75, Rajinikanth mourns death

Veteran filmstar and writer Rajesh, who scripted his success story as powerful character actor in numerous films, died due to age-related ailment here on Thursday, a source close to him said. He was 75. He complained of uneasiness and was rushed to a hospital here but was declared dead, the source said. Several film personalities including Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth condoled his death. The news of the untimely death of my close friend, actor Rajesh, shocks me. It gives me immense pain. Veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur says he is trying to rediscover the creative naivety that shaped "Masoom" as he prepares for its much-awaited sequel. Theatre stampede: Actor Allu Arjun visits injured boy in hospital

Top Telugu actor Allu Arjun on Tuesday visited the boy, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here after suffering serious injury in a stampede at the premiere of his latest film Pushpa 2. Earlier, Arjun scheduled to visit the hospital on January 5 but the plan was cancelled. The actor is added as accused No 11 in the case filed after a woman died and her eight-year-old son sustained serious injuries in the stampede on December 4. During Allu Arjun's visit to the hospital on Tuesday, Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju was also present. Security was enhanced at the hospital in view of the actor's visit. The SHO of Ramgopalpet Police Station had issued a notice to Allu Arjun regarding his proposed visit to the hospital and advised him to keep it confidential so that public order could be maintained in and around the hospital. Film producer Vipul Shah's Sunshine Pictures files for IPO to raise funds

Film and television producer-director Vipul Shah-backed Sunshine Pictures Ltd has filed draft papers with the market regulator Sebi to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO comprises a total offer size of 83.75 lakh equity shares including a fresh issue of 50 lakh shares and an Offer-for-Sale (OFS) of 33.75 lakh shares by promoters, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP). Promoter Vipul Amrutlal Shah is proposing to sell 23.69 lakh shares, while Shefali Vipul Shah plans to offload 10.05 lakh shares. The company plans to utilize the proceeds from the fresh issue to meet its long-term working capital requirements, allocating up to Rs 94 crore to support future growth and operations, along with other general corporate purposes. Allu Arjun's "Pushpa 2: The Rule" continues to spread like wildfire at the global box office, earning Rs 449 crore gross in just two days. The second part of the "Pushpa" franchise, which released across the globe on Friday with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam, debuted with a historic box office score of Rs 294 crore gross on day one. 'All We Imagine As Light' named best 2024 film by Sight and Sound magazine

Director Payal Kapadia's "All We Imagine As Light" has been selected as the best film of the year by prestigious Sight and Sound magazine that also voted "Anora", "La chimera", "Dahomey" and "Hard Truths" amongst its top five.
