Signature Global to invest Rs 4,000 cr in FY26 for construction projects

Realty firm Signature Global will invest around Rs 4,000 crore this fiscal to acquire land parcels and carry out construction activities in its housing projects at Gurugram, a top company official said on Monday. In an interview with PTI, Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal said the company had invested Rs 1,070 crore last fiscal year to purchase 48-acre land in Gurugram, Haryana. "Land is an important raw material for real estate developers. We will be investing around Rs 1,200-1,500 crore on the acquisition of land parcels," he said. The company is looking for lands in the Delhi-NCR market to expand its business, Aggarwal noted. "Housing demand continues to be strong from end-users as well as investors. There is a mismatch of demand-supply," he said. RBI gives in-principle nod to Emirates NBD for India subsidiary setup

The Reserve Bank of India on Monday said it has decided to grant "in-principle" approval to UAE-based Emirates NBD Bank PJSC for setting up a wholly-owned subsidiary in India. Emirates NBD Bank PJSC is currently carrying on banking business in India in branch mode through its branches located in Chennai, Gurugram and Mumbai. "The in-principle approval has been granted to the bank for setting up a WOS (wholly-owned subsidiary) through conversion of its existing branches in India," the Reserve Bank said in a statement. RBI further said it would consider granting a licence for commencement of banking business in WOS mode of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 to Emirates NBD Bank PJSC, on being satisfied that the bank has complied with the requisite conditions laid down by RBI as part of "in-principle" approval. Elan Group awards Rs 1,100 cr contract to Leighton Asia in Gurugram

Realty firm Elan Group has awarded a contract worth Rs 1,100 crore to Leighton Asia to develop a luxury housing project in Gurugram. Leighton Asia is part of the Australian CIMIC Group. In a statement on Thursday, the company said it awarded the construction contract for its ultra-luxury residential development, 'Elan The Emperor' located in Sector 106, Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram. The project is part of Elan Group's 50 acre, integrated township. The contract covers nearly 5 million sq. ft. of built-up area. Elan Group had earlier awarded contracts worth 1,800 crore to construct other projects. Shapoorji Pallonji targets ₹ 1,400-cr sales from Gurugram housing project

Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate (SPRE), in partnership with KREEVA and ASK Property Fund, on Thursday launched a luxury housing project in Gurugram with a revenue potential of Rs 1,400 crore. In October last year, Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate (SPRE) formed a joint venture with Kanodia Group's real estate venture Kreeva to develop a residential project, spread over 1.75 acre, in Sector 46, Gurugram. On Thursday, SPRE launched this new project -- The Dualis -- comprising 198 units, as part of its expansion plan to encash strong housing demand across major cities. "The project is poised to generate projected top-line revenues of over Rs 1,400 crore over the next five years," SPRE said in a statement. Realty firms Smartworld Developers and Tribeca Developers have sold all 298 units in the 'Trump' branded ultra-luxury residential project in Gurugram for Rs 3,250 crore, reflecting a strong demand for premium homes in the Delhi-NCR market. In a statement on Tuesday, Smartworlds and Tribeca announced "complete sell-out of Trump Residences Gurgaon on launch day", clocking sales of Rs 3,250 crore. Gurugram gasps for air as Bandhwari fire doused, but toxic fumes fill sky

A fire that broke out at the Bandhwari landfill site in Gurugram two days ago has been doused but the locals are grappling with the toxic fumes that have filled the sky. A local resident said the repeated fires in the garbage mountain in Bandhwari landfill site have caused more trouble for the people living nearby. The smoke generated from these fires makes them gasp for air, the resident said. According to officials, over 25 fire tenders were deployed to control the fire that broke out at the landfill site two days ago. It took firefighters 16 hours to completely douse the blaze, they said. However, it was not the lone incident in the area. In 2024, more than 70 fire incidents were reported in the Bandhwadi landfill site between March and June. Methane gas builds up under garbage in landfills due to the decomposition of organic waste in the absence of oxygen. Experion Developers to invest over Rs 2K cr in new Gurugram housing project

Realty firm Experion Developers will invest more than Rs 2,000 crore to develop a luxury housing project in Gurugram as part of its expansion plan, its CEO Nagaraju Routhu said. The company will develop 540 apartments in the upcoming luxury housing project 'The Trillion', which is located in Sector 48, Gurugram. "The total investment to develop this 5.5-acre project will be more than Rs 2,000 crore," Routhu told PTI. Gurugram hospital technician held in flight attendant sexual assault case

A technician allegedly working at Medanta Hospital here was arrested on Friday in connection with the sexual assault on a flight attendant who was on a ventilator in the hospital, police said. The accused has been identified as Deepak (25), a native of Bihar's Muzaffarpur, who had been living in Gurugram for some time, they said. A senior police officer said that during the interrogation, the accused revealed that he joined Medanta five months ago after completing his bachelor's in Operation Theatre Technology at a private university here. Police said they identified the accused after examining CCTV footage, interrogating the hospital staff and investigating various facts.
