MoU signed between PHDCCI, Indian Yoga Association to promote yoga

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and Indian Yoga Association (IYA) to promote yoga, health and spiritual tourism in the Krishna Circuit in Uttar Pradesh.The MoU was signed between D.K. Madhya Pradesh to regulate bike taxi services

Tourists visiting Madhya Pradesh will soon have bike taxis to easily ply through the narrow lanes or sneak past the traffic snarls. After the successful experiment during the Simhastha Mela, one of the biggest religious congregations in the world, at Ujjain during 2016, the transport authorities in the state has now going to come up with a policy for the bike taxis. "We are coming up with a policy next month for the motorbike taxis. The operation of these taxis would be App based," Madhya Pradesh's Transport Commissioner Shailedra Shrivastava told PTI. MP govt to soon release policy on bike taxis

The tourists visiting Madhya Pradesh will soon have the option of hiring the services of motorbike taxis to easily ply through narrow lanes and traffic snarls. This kind of service was allowed during the Ujjain Simhastha Mela in 2016 to avoid traffic problems due to big vehicles, and the experiment was successful, prompting the state transport authorities to come up with a policy on it. "During Simhastha-2016, temporary permits for three months were issued for bike taxis. Later, the transport department had come up with a draft policy and invited objections and claims," Madhya Pradesh transport commissioner Shailendra Shrivastava told PTI. "The policy is being finalised at the state government level and is likely to be released next month," he said. These taxi services would be app-based, he said. With opposition parties denouncing the government for "handing over the Red Fort to a private entity", the Ministry of Tourism clarified today that the agreement signed with the Dalmia Bharat Limited was "only for development, operations and maintenance of tourism amenities" in and around the 17th century monument and envisaged limited "access" to non-core areas.
