Maxivision Super Specialty Eye Hospitals eyes 100 facilities: Chairman

Maxivision Super Specialty Eye Hospitals has set up its fifth facility in Tamil Nadu, the 46th such facility in the country, set up under its expansion plan a top official said on Tuesday. Japan's Toyota Tsusho and Secom Medical System on Saturday announced plans to set up a second multi-super specialty healthcare facility under their Sakra World Hospital operations in India at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. The two partners, which already run a Sakra World Hospital facility in Bengaluru, plan to add another 500-bed new unit at Banaswadi in Bengaluru North. The facility is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Sakra World Hospital is also looking to set up at a third unit, which is envisaged to have 300 beds, as part of its plans to add 1,000 beds in the upcoming years. The second facility, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1,000 crore, will have a 500-bed capacity with a built-up area spanning 6 lakh sq ft, Sakra World Hospital said in a statement. Former President Pratibha Patil has been admitted to a hospital in Maharashtra's Pune city for the treatment of fever and chest infection and her condition is stable, officials of the medical facility said on Thursday. Patil, 89, was admitted to the Bharati Hospital here on Wednesday. "Former President Pratibha Patil was admitted to the hospital last night. She is having fever along with some infection in the chest. Her health condition is stable. She is under treatment and is being monitored closely," a senior official from the hospital said. 93 hospitalised in twin food poisoning cases in Noida, Greater Noida

As many as 93 people, including 17 in Noida and 76 in Greater Noida, were hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning in two separate incidents after consuming special meals for fast made of 'kuttu ka atta' on Mahashivratri, officials on Saturday said.
