India saw rapid growth across diverse sectors in 11 years, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Monday that under the 11 years of his government India has not just become the fastest-growing major economy but is also a key global voice on pressing issues like climate action and digital innovation. A clear focus on good governance and transformation, Modi said of the last 11 years as his government finished the first year of its third term on Monday. A link shared by him noted that 60 per cent of the current Union ministers are from the SC, ST and OBC categories, a message aimed at burnishing social justice credentials of his government amid attempts by opposition parties like the Congress to paint it as working against their interests. Rural youth should be trained to become agripreneurs: VP Dhankhar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday emphasised the need to empower the rural youth to become instruments of change in India's enormous but "underutilised" agricultural economy. Interacting with students, faculty and researchers during his visit to Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry in Solan, he also called for giving direct subsidy to farmers and claimed it will increase their annual income by Rs 30,000. Dhankhar said that instead of giving indirect subsidies on fertilisers, seeds and other inputs, farmers should get monetary assistance directly which will give them the choice to purchase fertilizer or opt for natural farming. He said that the income of a farmer's family in the US is higher than that of an average household in that country because farmers receive direct government support. Advocating for a hike in Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, he said that this amount needs to be factored along with inflationary component, and added that like Samman .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the collective fight against Maoism was yielding results with development and education taking the lead in areas that were under its influence. In his monthly 'Mann Ki Baat' radio programme, Modi said basic facilities such as bus services and education were now made possible in far-flung villages such as Katejhari in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh which were earlier in the grip of Maoist violence. "It is such a common thing to travel by bus. But I want to tell you about a village where a bus arrived for the first time. The people there had been waiting for this day for years. BJP hails PM Narendra Modi, says India isolated Pakistan diplomatically

The BJP on Sunday asserted that India had rewritten the rules of its engagement with Pakistan under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the ruling party hit out at the Congress and alleged the Indira Gandhi-led government released more than 90,000 prisoners of war without securing any strategic advantage after the 1971 war. The remarks came after India and Pakistan on Saturday reached an agreement to stop all firings and military actions on land, air and sea after four days of intense cross-border drone and missile strikes. The Congress on Sunday demanded answers from the government on if it had accepted third-party mediation on Kashmir after the US made announcements on behalf of India and Pakistan, pressing for convening an immediate session of Parliament to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and the latest developments on the cross-border firing. Asserting that it was time to remember Indira Gandhi's leadership, the Congress also cited her actions in 1971 that led
