Wardwizard inks pact with Dogra Regiment to offer upskilling opportunities

Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility has inked an initial pact with the Dogra Regiment of the Indian Army to provide 'Agniveers' and other retired army officers specialised skill development and upskilling opportunities in the EV space. The Vadodra-headquartered electric two-wheeler, in a statement, also announced setting up an EV Centre of Excellence for skill development of defence personnel at Dogra Regimental Centre in Ayodhya Cantt (Faizabad). Equipped with technical equipment -- including part display tables, low-speed scooters, battery and charging facilities, chargers and e-rickshaws -- the facility will serve as a hub for immersive learning and hands-on experience, Wardwizard Innovations said. Army marks 75th anniversary of UN peacekeepers day by paying homage

The army on Monday commemorated the 75th anniversary of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers by paying homage to the fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial here. Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande laid a wreath at the NWM located near the India Gate, officials said. The International Day of UN Peacekeepers observed on May 29 is an opportunity to recognise the service and sacrifice of the more than one million personnel who have served under the blue flag since 1948. The Army on Sunday launched a massive search operation in a forward area in Jammu and Kashmir's border district of Poonch after troops picked up suspicious movement and opened fire, officials said. Army medical staff assisted a woman in labour while being transported to a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Thursday, helping her give birth to a baby girl, a defence spokesperson said here. Col Emron Musavi said Harmida Begam, a resident of Jadda village in the Tangdhar area, was being transported to the Kupwara district headquarters after being referred to a medical facility there due to her critical condition. President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday conferred eight Kirti Chakras, including five posthumously, to personnel of the Army and paramilitary and police forces for displaying indomitable courage and extraordinary valour in the line of duty.
