Raj to get Gems Bourse in Jaipur, part-time govt workers retirement perks

The Rajasthan Cabinet on Tuesday decided to give financial assistance of Rs 2 to 3 lakh as retirement benefit to part-time contractual employees working in government departments, besides setting-up the state's first 'Gems Bourse' in Jaipur. The decisions were taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence. Among its major decisions, the Cabinet also decided to rename the State Animal Welfare Board as Amrita Devi State Animal Welfare Board. According to an official statement, part-time workers will get benefits of up to Rs 3 lakh. The Cabinet has approved the draft of the Rajasthan Part-Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023. In this, part-time workers will get a financial assistance package of Rs 2 to Rs 3 lakh at the end of their service, it said. Jaipur Airport soon to start biometric check-in with DigiYatra app

Passengers flying domestic from Jaipur airport will not be required to carry printout of their tickets and boarding pass with the launch of 'DigiYatra' programmme in the next few days. Under the programme, being launched under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Jaipur Airport will be equipped with Biometric Boarding System (Face Pods) for passengers to scan their details and bypass the cumbersome procedure. The pods will eliminate the need for manual verification of tickets and identification documents at multiple check points, saving passengers their crucial time. The programme will initially start with only one dedicated entry route for passengers choosing the DigiYatra option, but will later be expanded, a spokesperson of the airport said. DGGI officers busts syndicate operating 569 fake firms, arrests mastermind

The GST intelligence officers have busted a syndicate operating 569 fake firms and passing on fraudulent tax credit of Rs 1,047 crore, the finance ministry said on Monday. The Jaipur Zonal Unit of Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has busted a major crime syndicate operating in 14 states, based out of Delhi. The ministry said Delhi-based Rishabh Jain, aged 30, had hired 10 employees for operating these fake firms. After extensive recce and data analytics, the officials of DGGI, Jaipur were able to trace this mastermind in Delhi and nabbed him. This syndicate has issued invoices having taxable turnover of Rs 6,022 crore involving input tax credit (ITC) of Rs 1,047 crore through these 569 fake firms to more than 2,000 beneficiary firms. The majority of the fake firms are located in Delhi with presence in 13 other states -- Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, West Bengal, Karnataka, Goa, Assam and Uttarakhand. CM Gehlot assures timely completion of development projects in Jaipur

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday visited various ongoing development projects in the capital city and called for timely completion of the work along with ensuring good quality. He also offered prayers at Govind Devji temple in the city and interacted with devotees. On the lines of Mahakal and Kashi Vishwanath, a grand corridor and other development work will be done here at a cost of Rs 100 crore. This will provide more facilities to the devotees, Gehlot told reporters. He also visited Rajasthan Heritage Museum in the Old Assembly (Sawai Mansingh Town Hall), IPD Tower at Sawai Mansingh Hospital, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Governance and Social Sciences and Gandhi Darshan Museum. The chief minister said such work increases tourism and employment opportunities. He also visited the under-construction Gandhi Darshan Museum in Central Park. The work of this project costing about Rs 82 crore is expected to be completed by August 15, he added.

BJP to take out Jan Akrosh Yatra against Congress in Jaipur on June 13

The BJP's Rajasthan unit will take out a Jan Aakrosh Yatra here against the Congress government in the state on June 13, a spokesperson of the opposition party said on Monday. According to the spokesperson, the BJP's state unit president C P Joshi called upon the workers and public representatives of the party to ensure maximum participation in the march. A meeting was held in the state office of the BJP on Monday to prepare an outline of the programmes to be held in the state for the next one month over the completion of nine years of the Narendra Modi government. A Jaipur Foot fitment centre has been established at Mongomo in central Africa's Equatorial Guinea. The sole manufacturer of the prosthetic leg, Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), signed an MoU with FCMNO, the charity foundation of the Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo's wife Constancia Mangue, a release said.
