Jakson Group begins Rs 8,000 cr integrated solar facility project in MP

Jakson Group on Sunday kickstarted its Rs 8,000-crore investment to set up a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday laid down the foundation for the first phase of the project, which involves setting up 3 GW cell and 4 GW solar module manufacturing capacity, Jakson Group said in a statement. The overall plan will se 6 GW of ingot, 6 GW wafer, 6 GW cell and 6 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity over the next three years, generating 4,000 new job opportunities. As per company information, Phase 1 involves investment of Rs 2,000 core to set up up 3 GW cell and 4 GW of module-making capacity. Phase 1 is expected to generate 1,700 employment opportunities. Jakson Engineers to invest ₹8,000 cr to set up 6 GW solar mfg plant in MP

Jakson Engineers on Tuesday said it will invest over Rs 8,000 crore for setting up a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh. This is the largest solar manufacturing investment in the state, the company said in a statement. The company, part of energy and infrastructure solutions conglomerate Jakson Group, is investing over Rs 8,000 crore to establish a 6 GW integrated solar module, cell & wafer plant at Maksi Phase II in Madhya Pradesh, the statement said. The mega project will be developed in two phases across a 110-acre site, allocated to the company recently. Commencing site activities within 15 days, the company will commission manufacturing capacity of 3 GW of solar modules and 3 GW of solar cells in Phase I, with an investment of around Rs 2,000 crore. Jakson Green, Blueleaf Energy to develop 1 GW solar projects in Rajasthan

Homegrown Jakson Green and Singapore-based Blueleaf Energy on Thursday announced their collaboration to develop one GW solar projects in Rajasthan at an investment of USD 400 million (Rs 3,400 crore). The partnership will focus on jointly developing and building gigawatt-scale green energy projects in India, Jakson Green, a leading new energy transition platform, said in a statement. Jakson Group arm Jakson Engineers on Wednesday said it is planning to invest about Rs 2,000 crore for expansion of its solar manufacturing business. Jakson Engineers Ltd (JEL) -- part of the leading energy and infrastructure conglomerate Jakson Group -- announced a significant expansion of its solar manufacturing business, a company statement said. Jakson Group installs 9 kilowatt solar plant at AIIMS-Delhi premises

Renewable Energy firm Jakson Group has installed a 9-kilowatt solar plant on the premises of AIIMS here as part of an agreement. The project has been set up by its CSR arm Jakson Welfare Trust, Jakson Group said in a statement on Tuesday. The 9 KW solar project, installed on the rooftop of AIIMS Director's bungalow in the campus, is expected to generate 13,140 units per year, it added. Jakson Group Chairman and Managing Director Sameer Gupta said, "We are committed to support the nationwide net zero mission through renewable energy solutions, and our partnership with AIIMS demonstrates this commitment". After the inauguration of the solar project, M Srinivas, Director of AIIMS, New Delhi, said this collaboration illustrates a commitment to advancing sustainable healthcare practises, and he hopes it will encourage other institutions to follow the practice.

Jakson Green developing green hydrogen refuelling station in New Delhi

Jakson Green on Tuesday said it is developing a green hydrogen fuelling station at Badarpur in the capital city for a major power company in India. The project is expected to offset 3.7 tonnes of CO2 per day once operational, a company statement said. The green hydrogen fuelling station involves the establishment of a specialised and dedicated facility that will use the green energy generated on-site by a renewable hybrid to generate, compress, store, and dispense green hydrogen, utilising a hydrogen purification system, it stated. As a part of the project, the company will also incorporate a battery energy storage system (BESS) backed renewable hybrid power plant within the station, making it a completely self-sustained facility. The fuelling station is expected to produce 260 kg of green hydrogen per day at a pressure of 350 bar that will be utilised to fuel up to five intercity FCEV (fuel cell electric vehicle) buses. Jakson Group bags 121 MW solar project from Amplus Solar in Rajasthan

Jakson Group on Monday said it has bagged a 121 MW solar project from Amplus Solar in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Without disclosing financial details of the project, the company said the green capacity will be constructed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode. According to industry estimates, to set up every 1 MW of solar capacity, an investment of around Rs 4.5 crore is required. In a statement, Jakson Group said its group company "Jakson Green has bagged a solar EPC order from Amplus Solar. Jakson Green will deliver the solar power project in Bikaner within 8.5 months of initiation." Once completed, the project is expected to offset over 3.1 million tonne of CO2 per year which is equivalent to taking 5,58,100 fuel-engine cars off the road. Jakson Green to invest Rs 22,400 cr in green hydrogen project in Rajasthan

Jakson Green has inked a pact to invest Rs 22,400 crore to set up a green hydrogen and green ammonia project, in phases, in Rajasthan. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the government of Rajasthan to this effect, Jakson Green said in a statement. Jakson Green will set up a 3,65,000 tons per annum Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia plant along with an integrated hybrid renewable power complex in a phase wise manner, it stated. The project is expected to generate over 32,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities across various phases of the scale-up, planned between 2023 and 2028, it claimed. Jakson Group to increase its solar manufacturing capacity to 1.5 gigawatts

The Noida-based Jakson group plans to increase its solar manufacturing capacity to 1.5 gigawatt by 2020 in line with the government's objective of achieving 175 GW renewable power generation by 2022. The company, that has a railway contract for equipping trains with solar panels, did a successful pilot recently for a DEMU in Delhi. With increase in its module capacity and a foray into solar cell manufacturing, the company wants to position itself as an energy and engineering company, said Sameer Gupta, chairman and managing director, Jakson group.
