We intend to more than double our business in India: L'Oreal CEO

Cosmetics major L'Oreal on Monday said it plans to more than double its business in India over the next couple of years besides expanding its factories. L'Oreal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus also said India is a key strategic market for them and it is one of the world's fastest-growing beauty markets. "India is a very strategic market for L'Oreal. We intend to more than double our business in the next couple of years , expand our factories which are today manufacturing 95 per cent of what we sell in India and also exporting to rest of the region. "So it is a country of opportunities and one of the fastest beauty markets in the world and is a big priority for L'Oreal," he told reporters here. He met Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, who is here on an official visit to hold meetings with French leadership and firms to boost trade and investment between the two countries. L'Oreal Paris ropes in actor Alia Bhatt as new global brand ambassador

Leading French cosmetic maker L'Oreal Paris on Tuesday said it has roped in Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt as its new global brand ambassador. With this, Bhatt joins the brand's diverse roster of L'Oreal brand ambassadors like Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria, Kendall Jenner, Elle Fanning, Camila Cabello, and many others. L'Oreal expands operations in India, enters dermocosmetic market: Report

French personal care company L'Oreal on Thursday announced its entry into the Indian dermocosmetic market and said it has introduced L'Oral Dermatological Beauty (LDB) in the country. LDB, a new division for the Indian market will bring products to dermatologists, patients, and consumers, a company statement said. It will start its journey in India with CeraVe, a leading dermatologist-recommended skincare brand in the US market. L'Oral India Managing Director Aseem Kaushik said the entry is significant for India where the ratio of dermatologists to consumers is one of the lowest in the world (0.7 dermatologists for every 1,000 people). L'Oreal appoints Aseem Kaushik as Managing Director for India

French personal care company L'Oral on Monday announced the appointment of Aseem Kaushik as its Managing Director for India. He will be succeeding Amit Jain, who has decided to retire by the end of this year, according to a statement from L'Oreal India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of L'Oreal SA. Jain will assume the role of Chairman for L'Oral India, it added. Kaushik has been with the company for 27 years and held several leadership positions within the group. Most recently, he led international teams in PPD (Professional Products Division). Jain said: "Kaushik was one of the pioneers who set up new businesses and paved the foundation of growth for L'Oral in India today. I am delighted to welcome him back following his assignments abroad and pass on the reigns to him."
