Police say a 7-year-old boy fatally shot himself in his suburban Minneapolis home after a loaded handgun was found in a box containing a toy. Police were called to a townhome apartment complex in Plymouth around 3 pm (local time) yesterday on a report of a child bleeding from the head. When officers arrived they discovered Keyaris Samuels with a gunshot wound. Police said today that the boy and three other children were without adult supervision when the gun was discovered in a box containing a hoverboard. The other children were outside when Keyaris accidentally shot himself. The boy's mother came home shortly afterward. Plymouth Police Chief Michael Goldstein says the boy's mother told police she doesn't know the source of the gun. Police are investigating and want to hold the gun owner responsible.

Pakistan has delayed in reimbursing compensation worth Rs 7.2 million to the victims of 2017 Quetta church attack.As reported by the Dawn, a suicide attack targeting Bethel Memorial Methodist Church in December 2017 left at least nine people dead and 30 others injured.Following the attack, the government had announced compensation for the victims.The apex court took a suo moto notice after months the government failed to distribute compensation.A representative of Christian community told the court that the amount of compensation provided to victims is Rs7.2 million short of what was promised to them.A bench comprising of two judges Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan inquired about the reason behind not disbursing funds.The deputy commissioner of Quetta told the court said, "There was a delay in the provision of the medico-legal reports.
A 40-year-old Dalit man was shot dead today allegedly by five bike-borne assailants at Naifal village here in a suspected caste enmity case, police said. The incident took place under Masuri town police station area and family members of the deceased have identified the assailants, thepolice said. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Krishna said Mahendra, a Dalit, was returning to his home this evening after parking the vehicle on a private school premises. When he was just a few yards away from his home, the five bike-borne assailants opened fire at him, leving him dead on the spot, and fled, the SSP said. Two men, including a policeman, were arrested for allegedly robbing a 22-year-old man in east Delhi's Ghazipur, police said today. The victim, Tasleem, works as a delivery boy in Noida and had come to Ghazipur to take money from his father who has a business there on May 15. While he was walking on a footpath, two men on a motorcycle stopped him and said that they are police personnel, the police said. They accused him of harassing women and told him that they would be taking him to a police station. However, they took him to public toilet in Kalyanpuri where they thrashed him and took the money his father had given him, the police said. They later dropped him at Kondli Pul from where he informed the police. Police identified the accused as Idrish and Jai Prakash. A woman boxer was allegedly harassed by a group of bike-borne men in outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar, the police said today. The CPI(M) today blockaded a busy road here during office hours, demanding that the police hand over bodies of a couple who were burnt to death in South 24 Parganas district, hours before panchayat election in West Bengal on Monday, police said. The CPI(M) blocked the crossing of Chittaranjan Avenue which connects north Kolkata with the heart of the city and Mahatma Gandhi Road that leads to Howrah railway station. The blockade led to a clash between CPI(M) activists and policemen who tried to disperse the agitators and clear the roads for normal vehicular movement, police said. Pune police's economic offences wing (EOW) today filed a 37,000-page chargesheet against city-based builder D S Kulkarni and his wife Hemanti on charges of committing a Rs 2043.18 crore fraud by collecting funds from investors on promise of good premium and duping them. The total scam is worth Rs 2043.18 crore wherein the accused floated nine different firms tosiphonoff the funds collected from 33,000 investors and fixed-deposit holders who were promised good returns on their FDs, it said. The chargesheet was filed in the court of special judge J T Utpat. The incident happened at Sahara village under the jurisdiction of Baliapal police station, the police said. The Gurgaon police today claimed to have arrested a man who allegedly was a member of notorious gang that uprooted and stole ATM kiosks and then extracted cash stored in these machines. The gang was accused of stolen as many as 30 ATMs, crime branch officials said. The accused, Istakh, disclosed that members of his gang would tie ATM kiosks with a belt and then uproot them with the help of an SUV, they said. Tension gripped Giaspura locality here today after a drive launched by the Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana (MCL) to remove illegal occupants from the area turned violent. A 55-year-old woman was bludgeoned to death by a baseball bat and iron rods allegedly by her brother-in-laws and nephews over a property dispute in east Delhi's Jagatpuri area, police said today. Farida was attacked when she intervened in a quarrel between her husband Haider, his two brothers and nephews, the police said, adding she was injured in the incident. A sessions court here today issued an arrest warrant against former Gujarat BJP MLA Nalin Kotadiya in a bitcoin extortion case, in which several police officials have been taken into custody so far. The case pertains to alleged extortion of the virtual currency worth crores from a Surat-based builder. Additional sessions judge P J Tamakuwala allowed the state CID-Crime's plea for issuance of an arrest warrant under Section 70 of the CrPC. The Enforcement Directorate today said it has seized over 34,000 pieces of jewellery worth Rs 85 crore from the Gitanjali Group, owned by diamantaire Mehul Choksi, in connection with the Rs 13,000-crore Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case. The jewellery was kept at the premises of the Gitanjali group firm, Ms Gitanjali Ventures DMCC in Dubai, and was seized under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) when it was "brought" to Mumbai, the agency said in a statement. It said the seizure of gold and silver jewellery was made on May 10 after the ED raided a strong-room belonging to Bharat Diamond Bourse. "The ED seized over 34,000 pieces of jewellery worth Rs 85 crore under the PMLA of Mehul Choksi-controlled Gitanjali Group brought from Dubai," it said. Choksi, along with his nephew and millionaire designer jeweller Nirav Modi, is being investigated by the ED for allegedly defrauding PNB, the country's second largest lender.
