Venus Remedies gets GMP renewal certification from Ukraine's SMDC

Pharma major Venus Remedies on Saturday said it has successfully renewed its good manufacturing practices (GMP) certification from Ukraine's State Service on Medicines and Drugs Control (SMDC). The certification applies to the company's Unit-II manufacturing facility located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, covering its cephalosporin, non-cephalosporin (carbapenem), and oncology parenteral production lines, including liquid and lyophilized injections, Venus Remedies said in a statement. "Renewal of the Ukrainian GMP certification underlines our unwavering commitment to maintaining world-class manufacturing standards. This milestone not only reinforces our foothold in the Ukrainian market but also facilitates deeper penetration into PIC/S markets, significantly enhancing our international growth prospects," Venus Remedies President, Global Critical Care, Saransh Chaudhary said. Ukraine, being a member of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) consortium, comprising 56 .

India's manufacturing sector more attractive to global investors: S&P

India has made progress in making its manufacturing sector more attractive to global investors, and ongoing changes in international trade policy would benefit India in the long run, a S&P Global study said on Monday. S&P Global India Research Chapter's study, titled 'India Forward: Transformative Perspectives', said that as economies adapt to evolving trade dynamics and tariff challenges, India can capitalise on this momentum for accelerated manufacturing growth and greater global supply-chain integration. A strategic shift towards local sourcing, proximity to end-markets, and enhanced regional integration should attract additional investment to the sector, accelerating India's technological advancement and manufacturing competitiveness and creating additional high-quality manufacturing jobs, it said. Bombay Dyeing Q4 results: Profit falls 83% to Rs 11.54 cr, revenue dips 12%

Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co Ltd on Monday reported a decline of 82.6 per cent in its consolidated profit at Rs 11.54 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2025. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 66.46 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co Ltd. Its total income was down 12.42 per cent to Rs 395.47 crore in the March quarter. It was at Rs 451.58 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total expenses of Bombay Dyeing were at Rs 382.78 in the March quarter. For the financial year ended March 2025, Bombay Dyeing's net profit was down 83.4 per cent to Rs 490.16 crore. It was at Rs 2,948.63 crore a year ago, exceptionally high due to sales of land parcels. In FY25, Bombay Dyeing's total income was down 3.72 per cent to Rs 1,732.34 crore.
