Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday evening hailed the anti-Naxalite operation being carried out by Chhattisgarh's BJP government and termed the action as a step towards establishing 'Ram Rajya'. He offered to support Chhattisgarh, which was carved out of Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 2000, on every front and spoke about "double engine" governments (BJP in power at the Centre and in the two states). "The operation launched by the Chhattisgarh government against Naxalites is being commended and hailed by the entire country. No evidence of conspiracy in Bandhavgarh elephant deaths, says official

A high-level team sent by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (BTR) following the death of 10 elephants has not come across any conspiracy theory, one of its members said. The team comprising MP Minister of State for Forest Pradeep Ahirwar, Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Baranwal and head of Forest Force Aseem Shrivastava on Saturday visited the site inside the reserve where the jumbos died. Four wild elephants were found dead at Sankhani and Bakeli under the BTR's Khitoli range on October 29. Four more pachyderms died on October 30 and two the next day. According to wildlife expert Ajay Dubey, never before have 10 elephants died within a 72-hour period in the country. The autopsy of the carcasses has pointed to toxicity along with huge quantities of kodo millets in their stomachs, as per officials. MP CM Yadav announces credit cards, financial aid for cow keepers

The Madhya Pradesh government will provide credit cards to those rearing cows and their progeny, similar to those available to farmers, to help manage the upkeep of cattle, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Saturday. Along with the people growing crops, credit cards will also be made available to those rearing cows and their progeny to enable them to manage expenses on their care, Yadav said during the state-level Govardhan Puja' ceremony at Ravindra Bhawan here. He said that people who care for more than 10 cows will be given special financial aid, adding that the state government will invest and make arrangements for rearing 5,000 to 10,000 cows under the limits of municipal Corporations. A female cheetah is pregnant and expected to deliver cubs soon at the Kuno National Park (KNP) in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared the information in a post on social media platform X late Saturday night and said this symbolises a big achievement for the 'Cheetah Project'. The Madhya Pradesh government has requested the Centre to bring back the body of a student from the state who died in an accident in Russia, said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday. Yadav said the state government has written to the Ministry of External Affairs, seeking necessary assistance. Madhya Pradesh government started efforts to bring back the body of Kumari Shrishti Sharma, who was studying in Russia, to India, Yadav said in a post on X. He said the state's home department has urged the foreign ministry to help in getting the body of Shrishti Sharma, daughter of Ram Kumar Sharma. PM Modi to virtually inaugurate Rewa airport in Madhya Pradesh on Oct 21

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the new airport at Madhya Pradesh's Rewa on October 21, an official said on Saturday. As per a release issued by the state government, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla reviewed the preparations for the inauguration on Friday. Union and state ministers, including Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, will be present at the inauguration programme in Rewa on October 21, it stated. During the review meeting, Shukla gave instructions to officials and took stock of the stage and other arrangements at the venue. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted an operating licence to the Rewa airport in the Vindhya region last month, making it the sixth airport in the state, including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Khajuraho.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said 23 persons from the state stranded in the landslide-hit in Nepal were safe and they were being brought back. The Madhya Pradesh government has given its consent to hand over for the next five years the operations of the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation and the milk unions affiliated to it to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday here in Bhopal. The opposition Congress, however, resisted the move, claiming that it was Gujarat co-operative dairy Amul's "backdoor" attempts to take over MP's state-run milk brand Sanchi.
