BJP files complaint with EC against Pawan Khera for violating Model Code of Conduct
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday filed a complaint against Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).BJP in its complaint has claimed that Khera during a news channel's event had stated that 'Modi stands for Masood Azhar, Osama, Dawood and ISI.'BJP in its letter to the Chief Electoral officer has asserted that 'comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi with dreaded terrorists is not only unparliamentary but defamatory and deplorable.'Calling it a blatant violation of the MCC, the BJP in its letter said: "Such speech amounts to a violation of the MCC. Ban on Jamaat-e-Islami thought-out match fixing between BJP, PDP: Omar
National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah Monday said the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) was a "thought-out match fixing" between the BJP and the PDP as part of election "gimmickry" to help each other. India lodges strong protest with Pak over harassment of its mission officials in Islamabad
India has lodged a strong protest with Pakistan over several incidents of alleged harassment of Indian High Commission officials in Islamabad between March 8 and 11, and demanded an immediate investigation into them, official sources said Monday. The Indian High Commission issued a "note verbale" to Pakistan Foreign Ministry on March 13, giving a detailed account of the incidents including tailing of India's Deputy High Commissioner, Naval Adviser and a first secretary on multiple occasions, they said. The sources said the deputy high commissioner was aggressively tailed by Pakistani security personnel on March 9 and 10 while the first secretary faced similar harassment on March 8.
