New Delhi, 15 MarchHome Minister Rajnath Singh today said reports of his becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh were "unnecessary and futile speculation."Singh's protests notwithstanding, senior party and government strategists, conspicuously enough, didn't rule out the possibility of the 65-year-old leader moving to Lucknow.A senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, on the condition of anonymity, said the choice of the UP chief minister would be determined by factors like experience, particularly the ability to take along all the competing castes and interest groups in a large complex state like UP, rather than the caste factor.Apart from Singh, others being considered for the top post in Lucknow are union telecom minister Manoj Sinha and BJP state unit chief Keshav Prasad Maurya.
