Vikram Solar commissions 5-GW solar module mfg plant in Tamil Nadu

Solar module manufacturer Vikram Solar on Wednesday said it has commissioned a 5-GW fully automated Vallam facility in Tamil Nadu, taking its total annual production capacity to 9.5 GW. Spanning 27,000 square metres, the plant, built on advanced TOPCon technology, is designed to support M10, G12, and G12R formats, underscoring Vikram Solar's commitment to future-ready technology leadership, a company statement said. The state-of-the-art Vallam facility will add 5 GW of advanced module production capacity annually. With this next-gen expansion, the company now commands a total manufacturing capacity of 9.5 GW per annum, it said. KPI Green wins ₹696 cr contract for 200 MW solar project in Gujarat

KPI Green Energy on Monday said it has inked contract agreements with state-owned SJVN Ltd for an order worth Rs 696.50 crore to develop a 200 MW (AC) solar power project at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat. This development represents a major advancement in KPI Green's expanding portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects, a company statement said. KPI Green Energy Ltd has signed contract agreements with SJVN Ltd, a Government of India enterprise, for the execution of a 200 MW (AC) solar power project at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat, according to the statement. India-led solar project powers 12 public buildings in 10 Pacific nations

India, in collaboration with the United Nations, has extended green energy solutions to 10 Pacific island nations by providing solar power to 12 public buildings, the Indian mission to the UN has said. The initiative was implemented under the USD 150 million India-UN Development Partnership Fund. The Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in a social media post on Tuesday said the Fund is "offering green solutions". "Solar energy has been provided to 12 public buildings across 10 Pacific nations. 74 local technicians have been imparted training under the project," it said. ACME Solar commissions first phase of 100 MW wind project in Gujarat

ACME Solar Holdings on Saturday announced commissioning of 28 MW first phase of its 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat. With this, the company's total operational capacity has increased from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW, ACME Solar said in a statement. The ACME Eco Clean wind project is located at Surendranagar in Gujarat. The project has been financed through Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed through in-house EPC. The clean energy harnessed through the project is pooled at 33/220 kV pooling station and stepped up for evacuation to Shapar sub-station using a dedicated single circuit 220 kV transmission line. The project would share the sub-station with ACME Solar's already commissioned 50 MW wind power project. The power generated from the project will be sold through the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

Premier Energies secures $20 million solar contracts in West Africa

Homegrown Premier Energies on Monday announced securing multiple solar contract worth USD 19.95 million (around Rs 177 crore) Republic of Benin, West Africa. These projects are part of a national initiative by the Government of Benin to expand access to reliable, sustainable clean energy, Premier Energies said in a statement. Implementation will be carried out by Premier Energies in collaboration with the General Directorate of Energy Planning and Rural Electrification, under the Ministry of Energy, Water and Mines, Republic of Benin. Jakson Engineers on Tuesday said it will invest over Rs 8,000 crore for setting up a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh.
