Starting from overnight 124-2, India had perfect conditions for batting on a humid and warm day in Nottingham. The two batsmen looked to grind and play for time with no hurry whatsoever. It could be seen in the manner Pujara took his sweet time to get going, even as Kohli set off quickly for the day. They scored 70 runs during the wicketless session. James Anderson (0-31) though bowled a superb spell in the morning and didn't let the batsmen score easily. He bowled seven overs in the first hour of play, including three maidens and gave away only seven runs. Chris Woakes (0-31) and Ben Stokes (1-42) kept things tight at the other .

Bhutan: No medals yet in the Asian Games, but still happy

The Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan has never won a medal of any kind at the Asian Games, much less the Olympics. The country's fame, instead, comes from its billing as one of the happiest places on earth. In fact, the government promotes a concept it terms "Gross National Happiness" as a way to measure success. "People at home are not unhappy we have not won," Younten Tshedup, a reporter for the national newspaper Kuensel, told the Associated Press at the Asian Games. "Everyone is happy, even with no medals. But medals this time would be icing on the cake." By comparison, Bhutan's giant neighbour China has won more than 3,000 medals about 1,500 gold in Asian Games competitions. "We are hoping to change it this time," Younten added. Bhutan, with a population of only 750,000, has 24 athletes entered in sports including archery, taekwondo, boxing and believe it or not golf. Karma Karma, who competed two years ago at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, could break through in archery, which ..

Does early defeat spell beginning of the end for Mourinho?

Jose Mourinho warned of the troubles that could lie ahead for his Manchester United side, but the Portuguese must still accept much of the responsibility from a 3-2 defeat at Brighton that has the Red Devils' season off to a bad start. The concern for United is now whether Mourinho is capable of stemming the tide to turn things around in a way he wasn't in his third season at Real Madrid or in his second spell at Chelsea. On those occasions his fall even came from a position of strength he isn't afforded now having won the league in the previous season. This time round after a trophyless campaign, Mourinho clashed with the club's board over their failure to signficantly strengthen his squad, particularly at centre-back. Mourinho's point was illustrated in a disastrous defensive display at the Amex in which United conceded three times in the first-half with centre-backs Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly at fault. However, the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward could point to the .
