Sunrisers Hyderabad have deleted four consecutive defeats from their system and are ready to challenge Kolkata Knight Riders in the second IPL Qualifier tomorrow, says wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha. After becoming the first team to qualify for the Playoffs, Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered four defeats in a row against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai Super Kings (twice). "We have forgotten the past. We have been told to forget the last match and get ready for this match. We are not thinking about the four losses. We know that two, three overs can change the course of a game in Twenty20," Saha told reporters. Sudeva FC buys Spanish club Olimpic de Xativa
Sudeva FC, a second division club in the I-League, has bought Olimpic de Xativa, a third division club in the Spanish League. The Sudeva management will make a formal announcement here tomorrow. Olimpic de Xativa won the Spanish League third division title in the 2016-17 season. The club was founded in 1932.

Indian golfer Sharmila Nicollet was a picture of consistency as she recorded four-under 68 to share the lead after the first round of the Le Coq Sportif Beijing Ladies Classic here today. The lanky Indian, who is on a comeback trail, started on the first tee and was one-over through the first three holes, as she parred the first and third and bogeyed the second with a three-putt. She then went on a birdie spree with five straight birdies from fourth to eighth. The birdies dried up after that, but she stayed steady and did not drop any shots. She had 10 pars in a row and ended the day at 68. I played really well today. I could have had a lot more birdies on the back nine but I missed a lot of putts within 10 feet. Ireland's Ed Joyce retires from cricket
Dual international Ed Joyce on Thursday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket less than a fortnight after realising his dream of playing a Test for Ireland. The 39-year-old was one of the 11 men who made history against Pakistan in Malahide earlier this month, when Ireland became the 11th Test-playing nation. Joyce played a total of 78 one day internationals -- 17 for his adopted country of England -- and 18 Twenty20 internationals, two for England. He returned to the Irish fold in time for the 2011 World Cup and became the side's senior player as well as one of the most reliable batsmen. Joyce, who last year ended a county career that began in 1999, will take up a backroom position with Cricket Ireland as a batting and leadership coach. Australia great Allan Border praised the "amazing" Alastair Cook as the England batsman equalled his record of 153 consecutive Tests by playing in the series opener against Pakistan at Lord's on Thursday.
