Four held for betting on IPL matches
: Four people were arrested in two separate cases here for allegedly indulging in online betting on the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches, police said today. Police teams raided two places in the city yesterday on receipt of information and apprehended the four men when they were accepting online bets. Five mobile phones,one television and Rs 84,350 cash were seized from them, a release from Hyderabad Police said.
BCCI has not marketed Test cricket well: Gambhir
The BCCI may have created extremely popular and successful Indian Premier League (IPL) but the Indian board has not done "enough" to market Test cricket, revered by the purists, says former India opener Gautam Gambhir. Bengaluru FC head coach Albert Roca today decided not to renew his contract which ends this month, leaving the side after two highly successful seasons. India's doubles specialist shuttler N Sikki Reddy feels that the Asian Games later this year will see a much tougher competition than the recent Commonwealth Games and it would need a couple of upsets to take her to medal bracket at the continental multi-sporting showpiece.
