"Rayudu has taken his chance with both hands. We need to back him till the 2019 World Cup. He reads the game well, so we are happy that someone intelligent is batting at number four," Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony. India were ruthless, barely two days after the shocking defeat in Pune, to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. "Yes, (we) ticked all the boxes. We were clinical in all departments. We got into rhythm. We are known to bounce back and it was another example. Khaleel (Ahmed) was good with pitching it in the right areas, making the ball talk, and swinging it ...

Conte lined up at Real Madrid with Lopetegui on the brink

Julen Lopetegui's brief and inglorious reign as Real Madrid coach could come to an end on Monday with the defending European champions tipped to appoint Antonio Conte as his replacement. According to Spanish media, Real directors are set to meet later on Monday afternoon, when Lopetegui's sacking could be confirmed. He was named coach only 139 days ago, with his decision to accept the post costing him the chance to lead Spain at the World Cup. Hamilton fends off 'greatest' talk, says 'genius' Schumacher is man to catch

Lewis Hamilton on Monday deflected all suggestions that he might be the greatest Formula One driver of all time, saying that seven-time champion Michael Schumacher remains the man who most deserves that label. The 33-year-old Briton, who on Sunday clinched his fifth drivers' title when he finished fourth for Mercedes in the Mexican Grand Prix, rejected consideration of himself as the greatest in history, citing his father Anthony's mantra to "do your talking on the track." Hamilton's achievement drew him level with the sport's 'godfather' Juan Manuel Fangio on five titles with only German Schumacher ahead on seven. Schumacher, with 91, also has more race victories, another target for Hamilton during the two remaining years of his current Mercedes contract. But the Englishman put such statistical ambitions into a distant perspective when he adopted a modest role on his own triumphant career. "Firstly, I could never personally classify myself as the best," said Hamilton. "Obviously, ...

"For the first four or five years, I felt like Cristiano Ronaldo. Less so after. "The president looked at me in a way that suggested I was no longer indispensable, if you know what I mean. That is what made me think about leaving." The 33-year-old Portuguese superstar joined Juventus in a 100 million-euro ($115 million) deal in July, ending a glorious nine-year association with Real. His last act with the Spanish club was to participate in them winning the Champions League for a third consecutive season by beating Liverpool in the final in May.
