Leicester City Chairman confirmed dead in helicopter tragedy

Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was on Sunday confirmed to be among the five killed in the helicopter crash following his team's Premier League draw against West Ham United."It is with the deepest regret and a collective broken heart that we confirm our Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was among those to have tragically lost their lives on Saturday evening when a helicopter carrying him and four other people crashed outside King Power Stadium. None of the five people on-board survived," a statement from the club read.Srivaddhanaprabha had written himself into Leicester folklore as he oversaw the fairytale success of the 2015-16 season, as the Foxes defied 5000-1 odds to be crowned champions of England. India, Pak declared joint-winners of Asian Champions Trophy

Indian and Pakistan were declared as the joint winners of the fifth edition of the men's Asian Champions Trophy here on Sunday after the final of the competition was abandoned due to bad weather conditions.India was looking to defend their title, which they won back in Malaysia in 2016 when they beat arch-rivals Pakistan 3-2 in the final. Leicester City's Thai billionaire boss was among five people killed when his helicopter crashed and burst into flames in the Premier League side's football stadium car park moments after taking off from the pitch, the club said on Sunday. Final of ACT called off because of heavy rain, India-Pak share title

Arch-rivals India and Pakistan were on Sunday declared joint winners of the fifth Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) hockey tournament after the much-anticipated summit clash was called off due to heavy downpour here. Heavy rain since evening delayed the start of the final and even though the skies relented later, but by then the damage had already been done. The turf was completely waterlogged because of the heavy showers and after discussion with both the coaches of India and Pakistan, the tournament director decided to call off the match and declare both the teams as joint winners. Goa see off Pune City in a high scoring ISL match

FC Goa beat FC Pune City 4-2 in a high-scoring match to climb back to the top of the Indian Super League football standings here on Sunday. The match saw six goals being scored in the first 35 minutes and teams reduced to 10 men towards the final whistle. Ferran Corominas (5th and 35th) struck twice and goals from Hugo Boumous and Jackichand Singh gave the home side their third win.
