NorthEast United keeper Rehenesh suspended two additional games; fined Rs 2 Lakh

NorthEast United goalkeeper T P Rehenesh was Wednesday handed a further two-match ban by the All India Football Federation's disciplinary committee for his 'violent conduct' during his side's Indian Super League match on October 4. Rehenesh was serving a one-match suspension in an interim order of the AIFF's Disciplinary Committee and he sat out of NorthEast United's previous game against Chennaiyin FC. Today's order would take his suspension to three matches. He was also fined Rs 2 lakh in addition to the suspension. "All India Football Federation Disciplinary Committee has announced a further two match suspension for NorthEast United FC's TP Rehenesh. The goalkeeper has also been fined Rs 2,00,000," a statement from the AIFF said. PCB issues NOCs to players for participating in T10 league

The Pakistan cricket authorities have finally decided to issue NOCs to some of its players to take part in the T-10 League being held in November-December this year in Sharjah. The PCB said in a statement on Wednesday that it has decided to issue NOCs to some of its players after due diligence was carried out by the PCB in which the board procured and processed detailed information from the International Cricket Council and the Emirates Cricket Board. "Furthermore the PCB's own Anti-Corruption Unit also carried out a thorough review," the statement read. Last month the PCB Chairman, Ehsan Mani had revoked permissions granted to some of its players to participate in the T-10 league insisting that it wanted to first be sure the event was transparent and corruption free. PCB summons Akmal and Shahzad in separate cases

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned Test batsmen, Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shahzad to appear before an inquiry committee in different cases. Akmal has been asked to appear before the PCB's Anti-Corruption Unit with regards to his name and video appearing in the Al-Jazeera documentary on spot-fixing. Shahzad, on the other hand, has been called before a disciplinary committee to explain how he appeared in some club matches despite being banned for four-month after failing a doping test.
