Senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi has accused Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) "thugs" of looting the state of Telangana."The newly-born state of Telangana has been looted by TRS thugs. Russia strikes Syrian rebel targets over 'chlorine' attack
Russia on Sunday said it had launched strikes on Syrian "terrorist" groups it accused of carrying out a chlorine attack the previous day. "Air strikes were carried out by Russian air force planes," defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in comments reported by TASS state news agency. Russia's defence ministry spokesman said earlier that Syrian rebel fighters used chemical weapons containing chlorine in an attack Saturday on the regime-held city of Aleppo. Russia carried out strikes after identifying the attackers' positions and finding evidence they could use such weapons again, Konashenkov said. "As a result of the strikes, all of the rebel fighter targets were destroyed," he added. Plaque in memory of 26/11 victims comes up at Nariman House
The first phase of a memorial dedicated to the victims of the 26/11 terror attack will be inaugurated Monday at the Nariman House in south Mumbai's Colaba area. The Nariman House, which houses an outreach centre of the Jewish Chabad movement, was one of the theatres of terror on November 26, 2008, its siege ending with NSG commandos storming the building and gunning down two terrorists who had taken its residents hostage. The first phase of the memorial will comprise a plaque on the roof of the building inscribed with the names of those who died in the 26/11 attack, Rabbi Israel Kozlovsky said Sunday. IS-inspired module busted, 3 arrested in Srinagar
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has busted an Islamic State-inspired module and arrested three suspected militants with the help of the Delhi Police here, an official said Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, three motorcycle-borne men, who were moving through the Kothi Bagh area, were intercepted at a checkpoint on Saturday, a police spokesperson said. The three accused, Tahir Ahmad Khan, Tral, Haris Mushtaq Khan, and Asif Suhail Nadaf, have been arrested after arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession, the spokesperson said, adding that a case had been registered.

Two Naxals killed in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh
Two Naxals were killed and a police personnel was injured in encounters in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Bijapur district Sunday, police said. The gun-battles took place when teams of police's District Reserve Guard (DRG) of and Special Task Force (STF) were out on anti-Naxal operations in Gangaloor and Madded areas. Superintendent of Police Mohit Garg told PTI that a combined squad of DRG and STF was cordoning off the jungles between Nilamadgu and Korinjed in Madded area, 450 km from Raipur, when it came under fire from the rebels. The exchange of fire lasted for 40 minutes after which the Naxals fled, he said. "A DRG jawan sustained a bullet injury in the neck. He is being shifted to hospital," Garg said. Pak arrests 2 in terror attack on Chinese consulate
Two persons have been arrested in Pakistan in connection with the recent terror attack on the Chinese consulate here in which seven people, including three militants, were killed, media reports said Sunday. Those arrested are the brothers of Abdul Razzaq Baloch, who was one of the three militants of the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) which claimed the attack on Friday, Dawn news reported. The investigation agencies found that one of the slain militants, Razzaq Baloch, belonged to Kharan district of the restive Balochistan province, it said. Raids were carried out in different areas of Kharan on Saturday and Mohammad Aslam and Khosti were taken into custory, the report said. Afghans clash with police after arrest of militia leader
Hundreds of protesters have clashed with police in the Afghan capital after the arrest of a Shiite militia commander. Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid says three policemen were shot and wounded and another 20 were hit by stones thrown by the protesters, who torched two police checkpoints. The demonstrations erupted after the arrest of Alipoor, who leads a Shiite militia in the western Ghor province and who goes by one name. It was not immediately clear what he is charged with, but state-allied militias are often accused of extortion and other mafia-like behaviour. A Pakistani-origin terrorist belonging to the Jaish-e Mohammed (JeM) was killed Sunday in a brief exchange of fire with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.
