WB minister gets into heated argument with central forces inside polling booth in Cooch Behar

Cooch Behar (West Bengal), Apr 11 (ANI): Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Rabindra Nath Ghosh, who was voting at a polling booth in Cooch Behar, got into heated argument with paramilitary jawans as he said that the central forces had no business to be inside the voting room. The security personnel, on the other hand, told the Natabari MLA that they were just worried of the convoy with which Ghosh had came inside the polling booth. Reports of several EVMs not working in Cooch Behar also emerged.

Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 11 (ANI): Kashmiri Pandits cast their votes in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur for Baramulla parliamentary constituency. A special polling station has been set up so that the migrants can cast their votes. The polling station has been set-up at a Municipal Town Hall in Udhampur. Speaking to ANI, one of the voters said, "We are migrants here. It's our duty to caste vote. We want to return to Baramulla."

UP/ Telangana/ Lakshadweep/ Maharashtra/WB, Apr 11 (ANI): Voter turnout till 11 am in Uttar Pradesh was 24.32%. In Telangana, voter turnout recorded till 11 am was 22.84%, 23.78% in Uttarakhand, 13.07% in Maharashtra, 23.10% voter turnout recorded till 11 am in Lakshwadweep and 38.08% in West Bengal. While in JandK and Tripura voters turnout was recorded at 24.66% and 26.05% respectively. Polling for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections is underway across the country.
