Fire breaks out in yarn factory, 11 fire tenders rushed to spot

Bhilwara (Rajasthan), Mar 22 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a yarn factory in Bhilwara region of Rajasthan in the wee hours of Friday morning. Total 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire and the fire was finally brought under control in the morning. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Pratap Nagar police station, Rohit Devendra said, "We received information about the fire around 1.30 am and it was massive and 11 fire tenders were brought from various stations. The fire was finally brought under control around 8 am in the morning. The factory godown didn't have any security guard and CCTV cameras were also not installed in the godown. Further investigation is underway in the matter."

3 held for stabbing sub-inspector in New Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 22 (ANI): A Delhi police sub-inspector (SI) was allegedly stabbed on Thursday and three persons have been arrested in this connection in Delhi. The sub-inspector was identified as Amit Kumar and has been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. As per the information from police, the sub-inspector was stabbed when he visited Rajouri Garden area along with his friends. Meanwhile, a quarrel ensued with some locals, following which, they stabbed him in a fit of rage. Soon after receiving information of the incident, police rushed to the spot and arrested three persons in this regard. Police official said that we have made three arrests in this case and the accused has been identified as Paras, Angrej Singh and Anand Singh. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections 307/34 (Criminal act done by several persons) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is underway in this case.

Dharwad building collapse: Govt is ready to appoint retired High Court judge if required, says HD Kumaraswamy

Dharwad (Karnataka), Mar 22 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy visited the building collapse site in Karnataka's Dharwad district on Thursday. This incident took place on March 19. Dharwad (Karnataka), Mar 22 (ANI): The death toll in the building collapse in Karnataka's Dharwad district rose to 13 today. The rescue operation is still underway to pull out people who are believed to be trapped in the debris of the under-construction building that collapsed in Kumareshwar Nagar on March 19. Assistant Commissioner of Dharwad sub-division said, "Almost 56 people are rescued, 12 are missing and 13 are dead. More than 400 staff comprising National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Police and Revenue Department are involved in the rescue operation."
