PM Modi inaugurates 'Re-Invest 2020' via video-conferencing

New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the inauguration ceremony of 3rd Global Renewable Energy Investment Meeting and Expo (Re-Invest 2020) via video-conferencing on November 26. It is organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and will be held from 26-28 Nov. The international delegations also attended the meet.

New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): India's renewable power capacity is the 4th largest in the world, and currently the renewable energy capacity of the nation is 136 Giga Watts, which is about 36% of our total capacity, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while participating in the inauguration ceremony of 3rd Global Renewable Energy Investment Meeting and Expo (Re-Invest 2020) via video-conferencing on November 26. He added, "In the last 6 years, we increased our installed renewable energy capacity by two and half times. Even when it was not affordable, we invested in renewable energy. Now our investment and scale is bringing costs down. We are showing to the world that sound environmental policies can also be sound economics."

2 jawans lost lives in terrorist attack near Srinagar

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Nov 26 (ANI): Two jawans succumbed to injuries after terrorist attacked security personnel in HMT area near Srinagar on November 26, informed Kashmir IGP, Vijay Kumar. He said, "3 terrorists started shooting at our Army soldiers. Two jawans were critically injured and reportedly succumbed to injuries. Jaish has active movement here, by evening we'll identify the group. Terrorists fled in a car and were armed. 2 are probably Pakistani and one local."

Local football team in Manipur's Imphal paid homage of reverence to Argentinian football legend. Maradona died due to heart attack on Nov 25 at the age of 60. Maradona had won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986 and is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all-time.

Union Agriculture Minister appeals to farmers to stop agitation

New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar appealed to farmers who are carrying out "Dilli Chalo" march to stop the protest. "I want to appeal to our farmer brothers to not agitate. We're ready to talk about issues and resolve differences," said Agriculture Minister Tomar. "I'm sure that our dialogue will have a positive result," he added. Farmer associations are enroute Delhi from Haryana and Punjab to protest against recently enacted farm laws.
