New Delhi, Apr 08 (ANI): Delhi government made facial masks compulsory for anyone stepping out of their house throughout the state. Giving out information, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, "Facial masks have made compulsory for anyone stepping out of their house throughout Delhi. Some positive cases have been reported in Sadar area so the area has been sealed. Total 20 hotspots have been identified in Delhi, nobody will be allowed to enter or exit from these areas."
New Delhi, Apr 08 (ANI): Managing Director of Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable Private Limited, Sangram Chaudhary said that we have arranged everything to meet the needs of the people. He said, "We, every day supply around 45 lakh liter milk in Delhi-NCR. We have arranged everything to meet the needs of the people and our worker is working so that no one face any problem during the lockdown. Our supply has increased after lockdown for some days and now it is subsidies as people are cooperating. Our booths in Delhi are following the protocol to maintain social distancing."
New Delhi, Apr 08 (ANI): DG of ITBP, SS Deswal told that ITBP has converted a 200-bed hospital in Greater Noida for corona patient. He said, "Quarantine center was basically built to keep all the evacuated Indians from China, Italy and Iran. Those who tested negative have sent back to their homes. The camp has a capacity to keep 1,000 people at once. In addition to it, ITBP also has a 200-bed hospital in Greater Noida. After evacuating the patients from there, the MHA has dedicated it to the corona. I will visit quarantine centers as essential service staff are there and it is important to meet them. I will visit hospital in Noida tomorrow and would also meet officials, doctors and jawans there. We would try to fulfill all their needs as soon as possible."
Panaji (Goa), Apr 08 (ANI): Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant said that Goa cabinet ministry has decided to deduct 30% of the salary of state MLAs. He said, "In the cabinet meeting, talks were done regarding the regularisation of some issues related to Public Works Department (PWD). There will be a transfer of one land for the home department for the police stations. 30% of the salary deductions would take place for one year from the salary of BJP MLAs and independent MLA of Goa and 30% of the salary would go in COVID state fund."

He said, "There are 22 hotspots in Agra,13 in Ghaziabad,12 in Gautam Budh Nagar,12 in Kanpur,4 in Varanasi,3 in Shamli,7 in Meerut,1 in Bareilly,3 in Bulandshahr,3 in Basti,3 in Firozabad,4 in Saharanpur,4 in Maharajganj,1 in Sitapur and 8 big and 4 small in Lucknow." There have been 343 cases of coronaviryus in Uttar Pradesh.
Lucknow (UP), Apr 08 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari on April 08 gave information about sealing 15 districts of the state. He said, "15 districts have high viral load of COVID19. So, affected areas will be sealed. Only home delivery and medical teams will be allowed there. It's being done to prevent community spread, as numbers are high."
New Delhi, Apr 08 (ANI): In a press conference, Joint Secretary of Home Ministry, Saheli Ghosh Roy informed that cash benefits will be provided to registered construction workers in 31 states and Union Territories. She said, "In 31 states/Union Territories, cash benefits of Rs.1000 to Rs.6000 have been announced for registered construction workers under Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Cess Fund. Rs. 3000 crores have been given to 2 crore registered construction workers till now."

Representatives from all parties came in the meeting and showed their unity over COVID-19. We informed them about our plan of crop procurement process and strategies to combat COVID-19."
New Delhi, Apr 08 (ANI): In the press conference held in Delhi, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal informed ensured that there will be no shortage of HCQ (hydroxychloroquine) in the country at present as well as in future. He said, "Let me ensure you that the whole situation is being monitored at the highest level. In terms of the requirement of the country, linking it with the fact about the production and availability in the country, it is ensured that not only today even in future there will not be any lack of HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) as and when needed."
Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Apr 08 (ANI): Five people arrested for stone pelting at police in Indore. Giving more information on it, Station House Officer of Chandan Nagar, Yogesh Tomar said, "We are continuously, trying our best to keep everyone inside to combat the spread of coronavirus. Yesterday, when our police officers tried to stop some people from violating the lockdown in a by-lane in Chandan Nagar they started pelting stones. Following this we have taken 5 people into custody. We have put legal actions against them."

New Delhi, Apr 08 (ANI): In a press conference, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal informed about the current status of COVID-19 cases in the country and Centre and state governments preparations over it. He said, "Till date total 402 people have been discharged, total 5194 positive confirmed case have been reported. In last one day 773 positive cases were reported. Total 149 deaths have been reported and around 32 people have died yesterday. Orientation training on field level is really important and HRD Ministry will provide the training."
Chandigarh, Apr 08 (ANI): A golfer who won his maiden title at Bengal Open Golf Championship, practices the game at his home amid lockdown. Aadil Bedi turned his home into mini golf court due to COVID-19 threat. He practices in his garden and drawing room by using Trackman, KVest and sensor-level plates. While speaking to ANI, Aadil Bedi said, "I practice in my garden and drawing room where I use Trackman, KVest, sensor-level plates to analyse elevation, direction and speed of swings." There are total 25 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Chandigarh including 7 cured. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 4643 in India and 149 deaths.
Pune (Maharashtra), Apr 08(ANI): Managing Director of Katraj Dairy VH Kshirsagar confirmed that the sale of milk has slumped by 50 per cent as its procurement, processing and distribution channels have been hit due to coronavirus lockdown in Pune. Kshirsagar said, "We are trying to enhance our capacity to deliver milk door-to-door."
Mahasamund (Chhattisgarh), Apr 08 (ANI): Three students of Chhattisgarh built a robot to help medical staff to treat COVID-19 patients. Yogesh Kumar Sahu, an engineering final year student, claimed to have built a robot along with two of his friends. He said that this robot can be operated from anywhere if it's connected to internet and can be used to attend patients. "If doctor is in Raipur and the patient is in Bilaspur, then the doctor can treat the patient through this robot. The camera installed within this will help the doctor to see and speak to the patient," he said. Yogesh further requested both the centre and state government to support this project financially so that they can build more such robots which can provide assistance to the medical staff.
