Udaipur (Rajasthan), Apr 04 (ANI): As awareness campaign on coronavirus continues by police and social workers, the famous Jal Sanjhi artist is not behind. Rajesh Vaishnav, the famous artist made a water painting depicting 'coronavirus spread over India'. "Our Prime Minister have taken a great step by announcing lockdown, I request all to stay safe and stay indoors for better good," said Rajesh Vaishnav, the artist. Jal Sanjhi is centuries old art form predominant in Rajasthan.

COVID-19 lockdown: People flout social distancing norms at Bhubaneswar vegetable market

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Apr 04 (ANI): Despite repeated requests from authorities, vegetable market in Bhubaneswar was heavily crowded on April 3. Swarm of people thronged market without respecting social distancing norm, which is essential to break chain of COVID-19 spread. "People will come out to buy supplies, there should be awareness, but what will they do? They have to come out to buy necessities," said a local. Five positive cases of Novel Coronavirus have been reported in Odisha as of April 4.

COVID-19: Sleeper coaches turned into isolation wards in Patna

Patna (Bihar), Apr 04 (ANI): To combat coronavirus, authorities are rapidly converting sleeper coaches into isolation wards at Rajendra Nagar Terminal. The coaches were well-sanitised during finals stages. Indian Railways aims to modify 20,000 coaches for emergency. A single modified coach houses 16 beds for isolation. 29 cases have been reported so far in the state of Bihar.

Amazon prioritises sale of COVID-19 supplies for only hospitals

New Delhi, Apr 04 (ANI): Amazon has launched a dedicated COVID-19 supplies store on its website; however, the general public is restricted from purchasing those items. On its official website, Amazon notes that it is prioritising supplies such as gloves, masks, thermometers, face shields, sanitisers, and surgical gowns for hospitals and government organisations leading the pandemic response. Qualified organisations need to contact Amazon to access essential supplies as they become available. It is to be noted that currently, the service is available only for agencies or organisations in selected countries or regions.

Out of 107 Tablighi Jamaat attendees, 28 tested negative of COVID-19: Chhattisgarh CM

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 03 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on April 3 informed that 107 people returned to Chhattisgarh after attending Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi and samples of over 50 of them were sent for testing out of which, reports of 28 people have been received and all of them have been tested negative of COVID-19. "107 people returned to Chhattisgarh after attending Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi. 'Photo-ops will not solve coronavirus problem': Tharoor on PM Modi's appeal to Indians for April 5

New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Congress MP Shashi Tharoor reacted on PM Narendra Modi's vision to light diya on April 5 and said that he will light a diya in solidarity with the people of India. But adding to it, he also said that he was disappointed to see that the Prime Minister devoted his speech to lighting of diyas as there was so much more that the nation was expecting from him. India's oldest COVID-19 survivor, wife discharged from Kerala hospital

Kottayam (Kerala), Apr 03 (ANI): A 93-year-old man, who is country's oldest COVID-19 survivor along with his wife discharged from the government Medical College Hospital, days after they got fully recovered. Thomas Abraham and his wife Mariyamma have recovered after days of life-and-death battle against the dreadful virus in the hospital. 11 CISF personnel tested positive for COVID-19 in Maharashtra

Panvel (Maharashtra), Apr 03 (ANI): Panvel Municipal Commissioner, Ganesh Deshmukh on CISF Personnel tested corona positive said that around 11 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel have been tested for corona positive so far. A total of 140 personnel were deployed at the international airport. He said that it is suspected that during the process of air lifting, they might have got the virus.

New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Home Ministry, Joint Secretary, Punya Salila Srivastava announced helpline numbers for coronavirus pandemic. She said, "Now, we have introduced two more helpline numbers - 1930 which is all India tollfree number and1944 is dedicated to Northeast. Apart from this, on the stone pelting incidents, Punya said that Union Ministry of Home Affairs has written to state governments to take strict action in cases of attack on healthcare and frontline workers. She said that state governments have been directed to ensure the security to medical fraternity.

Health Ministry confirms 2301 coronavirus cases in India

New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Health Ministry, Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal confirmed 2301 coronavirus cases in the country along with 56 deaths so far. He said, "From yesterday till today, 336 additional cases of COVID-19 have come before us. Total confirmed cases are 2301, and 56 deaths have been reported so far. 12 of these 56 deaths were reported yesterday." Lav Agarwal also updated that total of 157 patients have been recovered from COVID-19 impact.

Arvind Kejriwal confirms 91 fresh COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed that so far 384 coronavirus positive cases have been found in Delhi. "There has been a rise of 91 cases in the last 24 hours," said CM Arvind Kejriwal. He further informed that out of the 384 cases, 58 patients had a history of foreign travel while 259 people had attended the Markaz event.

RSS distributes 250 food kits to GB Road sex workers

New Delhi, Apr 03(ANI): Amidst corona lockdown in the country, RSS came forward to help GB Road sex workers by distributing ration on April 03. RSS Joint General Secretary, Anil Gupta confirmed that a list of 986 sex workers has been made. "We have made a list of 986 sex workers here whom we will distribute ration today. We have brought around 250 kits for distribution today." Delhi RSS, Organizing Secretary, Sukhdev Bhardwaj highlighted the ingredients in a particular kit. He said, "In each kit we have 10kg flour, 5 kg rice, 2 kg pulses, 1 kg sugar, tea leaves, cooking oil, spices and milk powder. We are providing them with food for 10 days and after that if required we will provide them with more."
