Government will provide food to 4,00,00 people in Delhi: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, Mar 27(ANI): Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced in the press conference that the government will be providing food to around 4 lakh people from March 28. He further added that the centers will be made across Delhi so that no one is left out. Delhi CM assured that arrangements to provide lunch and dinner in 325 schools are in place. "Around 500 people will be provided food in all these schools."

Man arrested for making video while riding motorcycle amid India lockdown

Jalgaon (Maharashtra), Mar 27 (ANI): A man was taken into custody by police on March 26 in Jalgaon's Azad Nagar. The arrest was done after he shot a video of himself riding a motorcycle during the curfew imposed in the state in the wake of Coronavirus lockdown. So far, the Health Ministry has reported 724 coronavirus cases and 17 deaths in the country.

CM Kejriwal confirms 39 COVID-19 cases in national capital

COVID-19 outbreak: 3-month moratorium on all loans, says RBI Governor

Mumbai, Mar 27 (ANI): The Reserve Bank of India on March 27 announced that all commercial banks including regional rural banks, cooperative banks, NBFCs (including housing finance companies) and lending institutions are being permitted to allow a moratorium of 3-month on payment of instalments in respect of all term loans outstanding as on March 1. The decision was announced by RBI Governor in view of coronavirus pandemic.

Fallacious to link banks' share price to safety of depositors' money: RBI Governor

Mumbai, Mar 27 (ANI): Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das on March 28 assured the bank depositors of safety of their funds despite stock market taking a big hit since the start of this month due to coronavirus pandemic, and said it would be fallacious to link the safety of deposits to the downfall of share prices of banks. Das also said the Indian banking system is safe and sound, and the coronavirus pandemic has only resulted in panic withdrawal of deposits from a few private sector banks.

Elon Musk reopens New York factory to make ventilators

New Delhi, Mar 27 (ANI): Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that his company is reopening its facility in New York to build ventilators to help combat shortage amid the COVID-19 outbreak. In an official tweet, Musk wrote, "Giga New York will reopen for ventilator production as soon as humanly possible. We will do anything in our power to help the citizens of New York." Last week, Musk had announced that if there's a shortage of ventilators, his company will manufacture them. Man in Ludhiana takes injured wife on bicycle to hospital amid lockdown

Ludhiana (Punjab), Mar 27 (ANI): As the country is under lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, a man had to carry his injured wife on a bicycle for 12 kilometer from Bharat Nagar to Kanganwal in Ludhiana to reach a hospital. The woman got injured during an accident while she was working at a factory on March 20. "Nobody was ready to drive us to the hospital due to the lockdown. Ambulance drivers were asking for Rs 2000 which I could not pay, so I had to carry her on my bicycle," said Devdutt Ram, husband of the injured woman.
