New Delhi, Mar 29 (ANI): In a bid to provide accurate and credible information to users about the COVID-19 pandemic, tech giant Apple has released a new dedicated app and website for users across the US. The new COVID-19 app and website provide the latest information and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As the official release notes, the app is available on the App Store. The users can also use the new tools to answer questions around risk factors, recent exposure, and symptoms. The tool will provide guidance on social distancing and self-isolating based on risk level. In addition to the new tools, Apple also enabled Siri to provide guidance and resources from the CDC. Users in the US can ask Siri, "How do I know if I have coronavirus?" to access the information.

Police held investigation against those who were gambling in Valivarthipadu village of AP. Players involved in the matter were allegedly beaten up by police, in which the person lost his life. New Delhi, Mar 28(ANI): Amidst Prime Minister Narendra Modi's national lockdown, Uttar Pradesh government arranged busses for migrant workers at Anand Vihar and Kashmiri Gate. People in huge numbers thronged the bus depot and rushed to get onto the busses. Irrespective of multiple initiatives and requests for social distancing, all precautionary measures for coronavirus pandemic went for a toss during the chaos.

Kolkata, Mar 28(ANI): Amidst PM Modi's 'national lockdown' for 21 days, sex workers in Kolkata are struggling with the basic requirements as due to the coronavirus lockdown, their daily income has got affected. After one of them approached the counsellor, police and social organizations came forward to help them. During food distribution, social distancing was practised while police officials handed over the bags.

Ayodhya (UP), Mar 28 (ANI): Ayodhya Municipal Corporation along with Fire Department on March 28 sanitised every vehicle which entered in the city. The fire department officials sprayed chemical mixed water on the vehicles to stop the spread of COVID-19 virus. Total 55 confirmed cases have been recorded in UP. 54 people in UP have been cured from the dreadful virus.
New Delhi, Mar 28(ANI): Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary, Punya Salila Srivastava informed that the Home Ministry has requested states and UTs to set up relief camps with arrangements of food and water for migrant workers. Joint Secretary also said that the HM has emphasised the states and UT to set up relief camps and also spread awareness about these arrangements through public address system, volunteers and NGOs. Punya further added that the states and UTs have been told to consume the State Disaster respond fund. "For the coming year Home Ministry has already allocated 29 thousand crore for state disaster respond fund therefore they have the required fund for safety measures.
Amritsar (Punjab), Mar 28 (ANI): Residents of Punjab's Amritsar are participating and giving 'rotis' to a 'Roti Bank' started by BJP leader Tarun Chugh to provide food to the needy in the city. Chugh and some volunteers collect 'rotis' from people and distribute the food to the marginalised people of the city. Country is under 21-days of lockdown to fight against COVID-19.
New Delhi, Mar 28(ANI): Union Health Ministry Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal confirmed 873 coronavirus cases and 19 deaths so far. He said, "Since tomorrow, 149 COVID-19 cases have been reported along with 2 additional deaths." Lav Agarwal said that the Health Ministry, along with the State Governments, is working towards community surveillance, rigorous contact tracing and containment strategy. "We aim to ensure that lockdown and contact tracing is practiced across the country," he added. Health Ministry says that focus is towards the construction of dedicated COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 blocks along with isolation beds and required logistic to fight coronavirus pandemic.
New Delhi, Mar 28 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on March 28 informed that his government has made preparations to feed almost 4 lakh marginalized people in the Union territory. "We have built the capacity to feed at least 4 lakh people from today onwards. We are also distributing food in over 500 schools and 238 night shelters." He said that 568 schools have been converted into community kitchens to prepare food for the needy. Night shelters are also providing food and shelter to the poor people and flying squad also distributing food to hungry people by roaming around Delhi.
New Delhi, Mar 28(ANI): Union Health Ministry, Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal announced that All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) National Teleconsultation Centre (CoNTeC) has been inaugurated. He said that doctors across the country can get clinical guidance on COVID-19 patients through this centre. Lav Agarwal also assured that in the next 4-5 days, Health Ministry along with AIIMS Delhi will conduct nationwide online training of doctors and nurses on the management and follow-up guidelines of COVID-19 suspected patients.
