Bundi (Rajasthan), Feb 27 (ANI): Lok Sabha Speaker and MP from Kota, Om Birla, participated in the last rites of the 24 people who died after a bus fell into a river near a village on Kota Lalsot Mega Highway in Bundi ealier today. 5 people were injured in the incident referred to Kota hospital for treatment.
Sangareddy (Telangana), Feb 27 (ANI): In a viral video, a police constable in Telangana's Sangareddy could be seen kicking the father of a 16-yr-old girl who allegedly committed suicide in her hostel on February 24 after the college management did not allow her to go home despite her being ill. In the video, the policeman could be seen throwing his right foot at the deceased girl's father who tried to halt the coffin in which her daughter's body was being shifted. A probe has been ordered against the police personnel.
Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 26 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, his wife Tanzeen Fatima and their son Abdullah Azam arrested by police and have been sent to jail for seven days by a court in UP's Rampur on February 26. They warrant was issued after had been ignoring summons by the courts in various cases lodged against them. "Total 17 cases were heard against them, including violation of code of conduct and fake birth certificates. He and his family have been sent to jail till March 02," DGC Ajay Tiwari told ANI.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reacted over the mystery of the disappearing Rs 2000 note, that banks are recalibrating ATMs to replace high-value Rs 2,000 notes. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "As far as I know, no such instruction has been given to banks." On the other hand, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman directed banks to clear their pending loan cases of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by March 15. "Banks have given us information on how many (MSMEs) they have restructured, reached out to, their loans and everything else. Few MSMEs that are lying pending before them, we have requested them to clear out all by March 15", said Finance Minister Sitharaman while addressing the press conference in New Delhi on February 26.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal inspected violence affected areas of North-East Delhi on February 26. Other ministers and senior officers also accompanied the Chief Minister. The CM interacted with the local residents here. As the violence erupted in North-East Delhi area on February 23, people are living in panic in North-East Delhi area. However, Delhi Government urged people to maintain peace and not to believe in any rumors. The national capital observed violence in North-East area after a clash broke out between supporters of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and anti-CAA groups. According to official data, at least 22 people lost their lives in the violence incidents.
Srinagar, Feb 26 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir authorities took a unique step to stop poaching of migratory birds. They have launched the first anti-poaching boat for the safety of migratory birds in Dal Lake. Migratory birds come to Valley during winters, every year. These birds have been continuously under threat of poachers. This is the first anti-poaching boat is prepared, aiming to control poaching of birds.

Randhawa said, "Till now Delhi Police has registered 18 FIRs so far and 106 people have been arrested in connection with the incidents in North-East Delhi. Miscreants are being identified. We have the CCTV footage and strong evidence. No untoward incident took place today."
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal announced to compensate slain Delhi Police Head Constable Rattan Lal's family with Rs 1 crore in Delhi Assembly on February 26 and also said that the violence is Delhi has not been done by the 'aam aadmi'. In assembly, Kejriwal said, "I want to assure the family of Delhi Police Head Constable Rattan Lal ji that we will take care of them. I felt happy when I got to know that Central Government will give his family a compensation of Rs 1 Crore. We, Delhi Government, will also give a compensation of Rs 1 Crore and a job to a member of his family." He further said, "Whatever happened in last three days, all this has not been done by the 'aam aadmi'. This has been done by some anti-social, political and external elements. Hindus and Muslims in Delhi never want to fight."
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Amid tensions in North-East district of Delhi, locals gathered at Jantar Mantar to appeal for peace. The region saw brutal violence since February 23, claiming 21 lives. Violence erupted in North-East Delhi after clashes broke out between groups over CAA. Several shops were set ablaze and cases of stone-pelting and arson took place. Section-144 has been imposed in the district. Delhi Police Chief today informed that normalcy is gradually returning in the region.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Amid the unrest in Delhi's North-East area, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval reached at the office of DCP office. On the other hand, Delhi High Court expressed concern over violence in the national capital. HC said, "We cannot let another 1984 happen in this country; not under the watch of this Court." The High Court also gave direction to set up help lines for immediate help for victims, private ambulances to be provided for safe passage of victims. Court also directed set up of shelters for rehabilitation along with basic facilities. No fresh violence incidents reported today.
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): A Union Cabinet meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 26 in Delhi and during cabinet briefing, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar told that cabinet took major decisions for the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and for the Scheduled Tribe population in the Union Territory (UT) of Lakshadweep. He said, "Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi, has approved issuance of an order for adaptation of Central Acts in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir under Section 96 of the J-K Reorganisation Act, 2019 by the Central Government. This will introduce same law across the country." He further said, "Union Cabinet approves amendment of the Laccadive, Minicoy and Amindivi Islands Land Revenue and Tenancy Regulation, 1965. This will confer occupancy rights to the Scheduled Tribe population in the Union Territory (UT) of Lakshadweep."

Nadda said, "It is upsetting that Delhi Police's Head Constable Rattan Lal ji lost his life while maintaining law and order. He has been given the honour of martyr and Rs 1 crore will be given to his family. We will also provide a job to one of his family member. Although, all these things cannot be compared to his martyrdom. May his soul rest in peace." Delhi Police Head Constable Rattan Lal died after he sustained injuries during stone pelting in Delhi's Chand Bagh area on February 24.

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): The family members mourn killing of Ankit Sharma, who was found dead in a drain in Delhi's Chand Bagh area on February 26. His family members demanded justice for their beloved son. Ankit was allegedly attacked by a mob at the Chand Bagh Bridge and beaten to death; his body was later thrown into a drain. According to family members, he was continuously attacked by a knife.
Bengaluru (Karnataka), Feb 26 (ANI): Fire broke out at a building on Infantry Road on February 26. Fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames. No injuries have been reported so far. Further investigation is underway.

The Home Minister gave directions to police and also boost the morale of police. Statements by Congress have adverse an effect on the morale of police."
New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Injured who got injuries during North-East Delhi violence were taken to GTB Hospital in Delhi on February 26. Giving out the information, Medical Superintendent of GTB Hospital said, "So far we have treated 200 patients, 22 deaths took place. Majority of the patients have been discharged, 35 patients are still admitted with us. Today, we received 16 patients since morning, none of them is serious." "Till yesterday, we did not have a Board constituted to carry out the post-mortem. Today onwar,d the postmortems are being conducted and bodies are being handed over."
Sikar (Rajasthan), Feb 26 (ANI): Last rites of slain Delhi Police Head Constable, Rattan Lal were performed at his native place in Rajasthan's Sikar on February 26. He died after he sustained injuries during stone pelting in Delhi's Chand Bagh area. He lost his life on February 24 and is survived by wife and three children. His family also demanded for 'martyr' status for him.
