Around 50 women are indulged in making masks for people amid the tensed situation. The group aims to empower themselves by working for others. Over 2000 people alone in China are dead due to the deadly disease.

Twitter acquires Chroma Labs

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Twitter announced that it is acquiring Chroma Labs, the company behind the Chroma Stories app. Product lead at Twitter, Kayvon Beykpour, tweeted, "Thrilled to welcome the amazing Chroma Labs team", which includes Chroma Stories co-creator John Barnett, Chroma Labs co-founder Joshua C. Harris and Alex Li. The team will join Twitter's product, design, and engineering teams to "give people more creative ways to express themselves on Twitter," Beykpour noted in his tweet. Chroma Labs also tweeted that as part of the acquisition, it will shut down its business effective immediately. However, users of the Chroma Stories app will be able to create stories as long as the app is installed on their phone unless there's a change in a future iOS update.

At least eight people were killed and five others were critically injured in a mass shooting incident in the German city of Hanau on Feb 19.

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): At least eight people were killed and five others were critically injured in a mass shooting incident in the German city of Hanau on Feb 19. The mass shooting was carried out by two unknown gunmen at two separate shisha bars in Hanau, Sputnik reported, citing local media reports. The suspects are reportedly on the run. The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited.

Cancer patient gives birth from eggs matured, frozen in lab

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Fertility doctors in France have announced the birth of the first baby to be born to a cancer patient from an immature egg that was matured in the laboratory, frozen, then thawed and fertilised five years later. A recent paper in the leading cancer journal -- Annals of Oncology -- describes how the baby boy was born to a 34-year-old French woman, who was infertile because she had been treated with chemotherapy for breast cancer five years earlier. Before she started her cancer treatment, doctors removed seven immature eggs from her ovaries and used a technique called in vitro maturation (IVM) to enable the eggs to develop further in the laboratory. The mature eggs were then frozen by means of vitrification, which freezes the eggs very rapidly in liquid nitrogen to reduce the chances of ice crystals forming and damaging the cell. 20 feared dead in bus-lorry collision in Tamil Nadu

Tiruppur (Tamil Nadu), Feb 20 (ANI): At least 20 people are feared to be dead in a collision between a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus and a truck near Avinashi town of Tiruppur district in Tamil Nadu. The bus was going from Karnataka's Bengaluru to Kerala's Ernakulam. Rescue team rushed to the site immediately after the incident was reported. Bodies have been taken to Tiruppur govt hospital. Speaking to ANI, Nikam said, "I do not know what the plan of ISI was. After 26/11 terror attacks, 10 ID cards were produced in the court in which one was of Kasab and others belonged to nine other attackers, who were killed."

Equities spurt on Asian cues as new coronavirus cases drop

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices ended four days of losing streak on Wednesday as worries about the coronavirus epidemic ebbed in Asian markets after a slight decline in the number of new cases. Investors hoped that officials will roll out more stimulus to support the world's second-largest economy. The BSE S and P Sensex closed 429 points or over 1 per cent higher at 41,323 while the Nifty 50 edged up by 138 points to 12,130. All other sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty pharma up by 2.32 per cent, FMCG by 1.47 per cent, metal by 1.34 per cent and realty by 1.12 per cent. Among stocks, Vodafone Idea jumped by more than 38 per cent to Rs 4.19 per share after some reports said the government is unlikely to invoke the company's bank guarantees. Bharti Infratel too advanced by 7 per cent to close at Rs 224.70 per share. The other prominent gainers were Grasim which moved up by 4.4 per cent, Coal India by 3.4 per cent and Hindustan

Union Cabinet takes important decisions including 2nd phase of Swachh Bharat, women empowerment
