Haridwar (Uttarakhand), Dec 12 (ANI): A man was stabbed to death in Uttarakhand's Haridwar on December 11. The incident took place in Kankhal area of Haridwar. No arrests have been made yet in the case. While speaking to ANI, the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Haridwar City, Kamlesh Upadhyaya said, "Body will be sent for postmortem and no arrests has been made yet." "Further investigation is underway in this regard," she added.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Dec 12 (ANI): Soaring prices of onion across nation are burning holes in household budgets. Onions are being sold at Rs 110 per kg in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. They are expected to go as high as Rs 120 per kilogram, and the situation is more or less same in all the major cities of the country. Many consumers have cut down their consumption keeping in mind the high price of onion. In order to control the rising prices of onion, the government is importing 11,000 tonnes of onions from Turkey.

According to Engadget, while the first edition went live only in September, North is already promising to introduce the second edition eyewear in the coming year. Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 12 (ANI): The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 passed in the Upper House (Rajya Sabha) with 125 in favour and 105 against the bill. The Bill will now be sent to President Ram Nath Kovind for approval. "In the entire world, people who were suffering the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill will be working as a new hope for all of them," UP CM added. CAB will give citizenship to non-Muslim refugees, who were persecuted in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The Bill had triggered protests in parts of North East.

New Delhi, Dec 12 (ANI): A recent study has unveiled a shocking truth about the insufficient supply of certified applied behaviour analysis (ABA) providers to meet the needs of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in nearly every state. The study has found that there is substantial variation across states and regions, for instance, the per capita supply of certified ABA providers is substantially higher in the Northeast than in any other region. The study was published in the journal Psychiatric Services. The rising prevalence of ASD underscores the importance of access to evidence-based interventions such as ABA. An estimated one in 59 children had ASD in 2014, up from one in 125 a decade earlier, according to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. ABA uses behavioural learning principles to help children with ASD increase positive behaviours and social interactions and decrease problematic behaviors.
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 12 (ANI): A woman was allegedly given triple talaq in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal on December 11. She was later raped by a 'tantrik' in the name of 'halala'. Both the accused were arrested and produced before a court by the police in this regard. While speaking to ANI, the City Superintendent of Police (CSP) of Jahangirabad (Bhopal), Abdul Aleem Khan said, "Both the accused were arrested and produced before the court." India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, which was in its 50th mission (PSLV-C48), successfully placed India’s latest spy satellite RISAT-2BR1 and nine other foreign satellites in their designated Orbits. The rocket blasted off at 1525 hrs IST (3:25 pm) from the First Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota, on Wednesday. The rocket PSLV is a QL variant and this is its second flight. The rocket separated RISAT-2BR1 just 16 minutes into its flight, and ejected the first of the nine foreign satellites a minute, with the remaining eight following suit.
