New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar met Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf in Delhi on December 02. He also met his wife Queen Silvia. Swedish royal couple is on a five-day-long visit to India. New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): The air quality of Delhi remains 'Moderate' category on December 02. The Air Quality Index (AQI) at the Lodhi Road area showed no improvement in the air quality. Imphal boy to become youngest to appear in class 10 Board exams

Imphal (Manipur), Dec 02 (ANI): A 12-year-old boy, Issac Paulallungmuan Vaiphei, of Kangvai village in Churachandpur district is all set to become the youngest person in Imphal to appear in class-10 Board exams. The Board of Secondary Education (BOSEM) has approved to allow him to appear for Assam High School Leaving Certificate in class-10 board exams. The administrative board of BOSEM gave the approval to Isaac to register his name with his actual date of birth for the upcoming board exams, terming it a 'special case'. Isaac, who studied in Mount Olive School till class 8, is the eldest son of his parents. As per the test results conducted by the Department of Clinical Psychology RIMS Imphal, Isaac's mental age is of 17 years 5 months. His intelligence quotient (IQ) is 141. As per the rules, a student shall complete 15 years of age on April 1 of the year in which a candidate intends to appear for the class 10 board exams.

Lady physics lecturer commits suicide in hostel room in Odisha's Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj (Odisha), Dec 02 (ANI): A lady physics lecturer, who was allegedly raped in October, allegedly committed suicide on Saturday. Her body was found hanging in the hostel room of the college. "Yesterday night, we got information that in Rairangpur College, one of the teachers has died," a police officer told ANI. "We rushed to the spot and as per her father's FIR, we have registered a 302 case. Total six persons are allegedly responsible as per the complaint given by the father of the deceased. Out of the six persons, three have been already arrested," the police officer added. The deceased had filed a rape case on October 30, 2019 at Jharpokharia police station. One of the Police Official has been suspended while Inspector in charge (IIC) for this case has been removed. On October 20, the victim's sister-in-law had invited her to Keonjhar district. Breast milk help to prevent heart disease in premature born infants: Study

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): A recent study shows that breast milk, which is known to provide a complete form of nutrition for babies, could also play a significant role in preventing heart diseases in prematurely born infants. One study cited in the article looked at 30 preterm-born adults who were assigned to receive exclusive human milk and 16 preterm-born adults who were assigned to receive an exclusive formula-based diet during their hospital stay at birth. However, the study showed that the smaller heart chambers were less profound for the exclusively human milk-fed group in comparison to those who were exclusively formula-fed, suggesting a potentially protective effect of human milk for heart structure. The researchers then identified potential reasons for why breast milk results in a lower risk of heart disease. Amit Shah won't accept intolerance rising in the country, says Pawan Khera

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): Congress national spokesperson Pawan Khera on Sunday said that Home Minister Amit Shah and RSS will never accept that there is an "atmosphere of intolerance" in the country. New tool to make Internet memes convenient for visually impaired people

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): In a new study, researchers have developed a tool that will enable visually impaired people who find it difficult to understand memes, to enjoy them. Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have developed a tool to automatically identify memes and apply prewritten templates to add descriptive alt text, making them intelligible via existing assistive technologies. Memes largely live within social media platforms that have barriers to adding alt text. Twitter, for example, allows people to add alt text to their images, but that feature isn't always easy to find. Of 9 million tweets the CMU researchers examined, one million included images and, of those, just 0.1 per cent included alt text. Fire personnel dies after being trapped in hole during rescue operation in Pune

Pune (Maharashtra), Dec 02 (ANI): Five people including fire brigade personnel were trapped in a hole in Pune. Fire brigade personnel had gone there to rescue a person who had fallen into the hole. The hole was dug for a drainage line in Dapodi area of Pune. Speaking on it, Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Shravan Hardikar said, "Fire brigade official Vishal Jadhav who had gone to rescue the man who was trapped, has been succumbed to injuries. 6-year-old raped, strangled to death in Rajasthan's Tonk

Tonk (Rajasthan), Dec 02 (ANI): A six-year-old girl was raped and strangled to death at a village in Tonk district here, police said on Sunday. According to police, the incident took place on Saturday. "The body of a 6-year-old girl was brought to Saadad Hospital under Aligarh police station here today ... Prima facia, it looks like a case of sexual assault. The girl was strangulated to death with the belt she was wearing," said a police official. During initial investigation, police have received the information that a sports event was organised in the school of the victim after which she went missing. "The family of the minor was searching for her in the farmlands and at relatives' houses. They found the body of the minor in the bushes near a farmland today morning," said police official. Police said that a medical examination is being conducted. Further investigations are underway.

Student threatens to commit suicide, demanding capital punishment in Telangana rape case

Khammam (Telangana), Dec 01 (ANI): A graduate student threatened to commit suicide by jumping off a building in Telangana's Khammam on December 01. He was demanding capital punishment for the accused persons who raped and killed the woman veterinarian. Soon local police arrived on the spot and rescued him.
