Mumbai, Dec 01 (ANI): Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly after 88th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai said that Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) doesn't have much work and there is no need of full-time CAC. "CAC doesn't have much work, its work is appointing selection committee and coach, once it appoints a selection committee it stays for four years and coach appointed stays for three years, so whats the point of having full-time CAC," said Ganguly while addressing media post meeting.

Minor allegedly raped by two locals in TN's Coimbatore

Create asset-lite infrastructure for digital payments, cash-lite society: Worldline

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Three years after demonetisation and despite government's efforts to drive digital payments in India, more than 90 per cent of transactions are still made through cash, according to a new report by European payment services provider Worldline. In tier three and below cities, a case can be made that all transactions are made through cash. But the number of transactions done on mobile wallets in this quarter of this year was 104 crore, an increase of just five per cent over Q3 of the previous year.

GST collections crosses Rs 1 lakh crore mark in November

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Setting up a record, GST collections have registered a new high. The gross GST Revenue collection for November, 2019 is Rs 1,03,492 crore. CGST collection is Rs 19,592 crore, SGST is Rs 27,144 crore, IGST is Rs 49,028 crore (including Rs 20,948 crore collected on imports) and Cess is Rs 7,727 crore (including Rs 869 crore collected on imports). This comes after two months of negative growth. GST revenues have witnessed an impressive recovery with a positive growth.

MMTC places order for import of 11,000 MT of onions from Turkey

New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): State-owned MMTC placed order for import of 11,000 MT of onions from Turkey. Onions will begin arriving from late December or early January. 11000 MT is in addition to the 6,090 MT of onions arriving from Egypt in mid-December. Onions shortage flared up on account of severe crop damage due to heavy rains.

Inhumane treatment meted out to patients in MP's Chhatarpur hospital
