Patna (Bihar), Nov 5 (ANI): Bihar government has taken an initiative to spread awareness about 'Swachhta'. Walls of buildings have been artistically painted. Paintings on the walls depict trees, Bengal tigers, animals and humans. Last year, Patna Municipal Corporation not only beautified the city using Madhubani art in the city, but also prevented people from spitting around the place.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Nov 05 (ANI): A group of disabled persons performed at 'Super 22' show organised in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. The event was organised by Sabyasachi and team Smile Please. 'Super 22' is a talent hunt programme specially designed for person with disabilities. The programme came in to existence a year back by Sabyasachi and his team. 'Super 22' is an attempt to provide the best platform for persons with disabilities having skilful talents to excel themselves in cinemas as main stream actors.

Lucknow (UP), Nov 05 (ANI): A 'Health ATM' has been installed at Lucknow Railway Station where passengers can get upto 16 health checkups done at a charge of Rs 50-100. State head of this Health ATM project said, "Under 'Fit India Movement' programme has been launched in collaboration with Indian Railways." "Such machines are being gradually installed at all railways stations across India, it's the 1st in UP. Around 16 health tests can be done at a nominal charge of Rs 50-100. Passengers get a hard and soft copy of their reports instantly," he added.
Kolkata (West Bengal), Nov 05 (ANI): A total of 138 labourers and workers, who had gone to Jammu and Kashmir to earn a living, were brought back from Srinagar on Nov 04 in the wake of a terror attack last month in which five labourers from West Bengal were killed. While 133 of them are from West Bengal, five are from Assam. Five labourers were killed in a terror attack in Kulgam on October 29. Speaking to the media, Firhad Hakim, Mayor of Kolkata and Minister-incharge Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, said the workers will be sent to their homes. "We have brought them. We have arranged for buses which will take them to their homes in their respective districts," he said.
Lahaul-Spiti (Himachal Pradesh), Nov 5 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti witnessed fresh snowfall. The mountains and roads turned milky white. They took the step to protect themselves from any untoward incident. Around 12-13 employees work in that building. The ceiling of the building is in crumbling state. One of the employees said, "It is the same condition since I joined. We have written to authorities but there is no response."
Mumbai, Nov 04 (ANI): Amid the political deadlock in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on November 04 met the Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari in Mumbai. Raut was accompanied by Shiv Sena leader Ramdas Kadam. Although it is not certain whether Raut met the Governor to apprise him of the political situation in the western state, the Maratha leader had on November 03 claimed that the Shiv Sena had the support of more than 170 MLAs.
New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday appreciated the efforts of people of Delhi on odd even scheme. While addressing a press conference in Delhi, he said, "People of Delhi have owned up the Odd-Even scheme. There has been high level of compliance till now. The first day has been highly successful. Total 192 challans have been issued today till now." The Odd-Even scheme, a flagship programme of the AAP government, will be in force till November 15.
Mumbai, Nov 04 (ANI): The Bombay High Court on November 04 asked the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to file an affidavit by November 13 explaining the withdrawal limit set by the central bank on PMC depositors, said Pradnya Talekar, the lawyer representing several petitioners in the case. New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Joint Exercise on Urban Earthquake Search and Rescue-2019 in November 04. The inauguration ceremony was held at Ambedkar International Centre in Delhi's Janpath. The exercise was hosted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to rehearse disaster response mechanisms and share knowledge, experience and technology. The main focus of the joint exercise was to test the region's preparedness to activate intergovernmental interaction for an immediate response. "We are working in that matter from the last 1 year. India is in touch with SCO from very long time," Shah said at the event.

Lawyers from Kanpur to Coimbatore came on roads and protested against the Delhi Police. Lawyers from Kanpur city vandalised police van during their protest. Several vehicles were set ablaze during the scuffle. Building has also been damaged in premises of Tis Hazari Court. A police van was also set to fire. According to police officials, scuffle between police and lawyers was over parking. Recently, lawyers protested outside the Supreme Court, demanding the enforcement of Lawyers Protection Act in the wake of a clash that erupted between lawyers and police at Tis Hazari Court on November 02.
New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): After the violent clashes between lawyers and police officials at the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi on Nov 02, a video has surfaced showing one of the protesting lawyers thrashing a police official in the Saket area of the national capital. In the incident which was shot on mobile from a distance, a person dressed in civil attire could be seen slapping and abusing a policeman on his bike. Some lawyers and officials of Delhi Police got into a scuffle over parking issue in which around 20 people including both lawyers and policemen were injured.
