Auli (Uttarakhand), July 01 (ANI): Garbage that was left behind in Uttarakhand's Auli after the Rs 200 crore wedding ceremony of members of the Gupta family has been cleaned on June 30. The wedding celebrations took place in Auli was between 18 to 22 June. The Municipality has deployed 20 workers to clean the waste lying around in the area. While speaking to ANI, Cleaning staff of Joshimath Municipal Corporation, Anil Kumar said, "We started cleaning on 13th June and it ended today, 30th June. Auli is totally clean now. More than 300 quintals of waste has been cleaned. There were some troubles but we managed to clean the area." Earlier, Gupta family has deposited Rs 54,000 with the Municipal Corporation and also agreed to pay the entire cost of cleaning up after their mega Rs 200 crore wedding function left town of Auli with major waste management problems.
Moradabad (UP), July 01 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Sunday, Moradabad District Magistrate, Rakesh Kumar Singh on reports of media persons locked up in Moradabad district hospital emergency ward during CM's visit on Sunday, said, "The allegation that media persons were locked up is baseless. They were just stopped by police near the door of emergency ward." Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had visited a district hospital in Moradabad for inspection. New Delhi, July 01 (ANI): Google is reportedly building a new private subsea cable that will connect Portugal and South Africa. As TechCrunch reports, the new project, called Equiano, will be built by Alcatel Submarine networks and will be able to carry 20 times the capacity of the last cable built to serve in the region. The first phase is expected to be completed in 2021. Named after Nigerian writer and abolitionist Olaudah Equiano, the project is said to be the first subsea cable using optical switching at the fiber pair level, making it easier to allocate capacity as needed.

Sitapur (UP), June 30 (ANI): A minor girl was allegedly raped by two men on June 26 in Rudin village of Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the girl in her written statement said that she was gangraped by two men inside Islamia school of the region. However, in her recorded statement she claimed that she was raped at a farm near the school. "We have recorded the statement of the victim. She told us that two men raped her while two were witnessing the crime. We are thoroughly investigating the matter and the culprits will be nabbed soon," said Mahendra Pratap Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Sitapur. So far, no arrest has been made by the police in the case. On June 11, a nine-year-old was allegedly raped by a man in Sitapur's Sakran. Teams were formed and the accused has been taken into custody.

Bulandshahr (UP), June 30 (ANI): The CJM court on Saturday issued a direction to impose sedition charges on 44 people accused of instigating violence in Chingravathi area of Bulandshahr on December 3 last year. In the violence that ensued in Bulandshahr, Kumar and a local youth were killed when a mob went on a rampage over allegations of illegal cow slaughter. The court pronounced its order after hearing arguments of both the sides and approval of the administration. "When the charge sheet was filed in this case, at that time the court had not put Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) because there was no permission from the administration. Later when they got the permission, the court has allowed to put the sedition charge," said defence lawyer Sanjay Sharma. "We will now move to the High Court and will file a plea there soon," he added. Violence had erupted in the city after carcasses of 25 cattle were found in the forests close to a police station. Alwar (Rajasthan), June 30 (ANI): Chopper with Alwar BJP MP Mahant Balaknath onboard appeared to have lost control but regained it later and flew off on Sunday.
